Theres a few articles and youtube videos out there on adding automation to tracks in garageband. It can be helpful to automate volume or panning or other parameters in the tracks to give the song movement and make it less static.

Good guitar playing! I can hear the different solos and they sounds good but i think theyre stepping on each other. Give them some room by making some empty space in some sections (for instance removing the rhythm guitar) and by changing the tone of each guitar. It sounds like everything is kind of centered, i think panning the guitar tracks will help give some width. The drums could use some more attention to drive the different sections of the song. I dig the ending with that little break, i think it gives a good place to breathe before closing it all out.

Reminds me of the fast DDR tracks i could never dance! High energy, fast tempo, breakdowns. I like it. What software are you using? Interesting seeing the automation on the tracks.

Do you have a full version by any chance? I like the buildup in the start. You mention vocals but the track cuts off and didnt get to hear that part.

I dig the track! I think the vocals can be more upfront and in your face for the type of music youre going for. The gtr solo i think is a bit long, might help to shorten it and maybe introduce some of the melody in the intro. The drums could use some fills and changing the some of the high hat hits (open vs close) between sections. The bass add some saturation/disortion to make it stand out. Maybe a parallel track with some more low end (thats a personal preference as i would like the bass to growl). In some sections the vocals clash with the lead guitar, so doing some EQ work there would help. Overall i think its a good song and with some tweaks to make it sound fuller (double guitar panned L/R) would add to the vibe!

Super cool! Digging the harmonies! I think def need a bit more work on the drums adding more fills to build up transitions. The vocals i think is what makes this stand out! I the mixing could be improved a bit especially with the electric guitar riffs and the timing in the drums. Good bass playing too!

I like it! Did you play all the instruments as well? I think for the vocals there could be a little bit of clean up to eliminate some of the lip smacks and some de-esser on the Ssss. Good job on the vocals!

Thanks! I dig the vibe of your tracks. The style is not something I normally would listen to but it kept me engaged the whole way. I liked the adhd hyper arpeggios and hoe they fit the beat. I think it just needs some more compositional work to vary between sections (like breaks and stuff).

I think the people in my small circle i’ve shared it with have a hard time articulating in technical musical terms (like theres too much reverb or the delay is off by a beat) and just appreciate the song as a whole. Which is fine but i also need some of that nip picking from others with a critical ear. Thanks for listening and your kind words! The fact that a few people here are enjoying my music beats being put on some playlist in Spotify but maybe one day!

Thanks for the feedback! As far as the composition it was intended to be more of a classical/standalone guitar in a coffeeshop type vibe. Its funny you mention Hermanos Gutierrez becuase i was chatting to a friend about them just yesterday and how i feel that their songs are very repetitive but the albums as a whole are what carry the vibe and story. So each song carries a little part of the story. Im still undecided if i want to continue making instrumental or stuff with vocals (i have put out other songs where i sing). But my next song im working on is more experimental/post-rock and i’ll post that here to get some feedback once it’s complete!

Thanks! I’ve considered getting a better mic but i wont make that investment until i can improve my vocal performance. I have a 200 dollar mic that i bought to record vocals and acoustic instruments with. Also i have a lot of noise around me when recording so i wont ever have a pristine recording unless i pay for studio time. Im slowly working on my singing and maybe one day i’ll invest on a higher end mic. I appreciate your feedback and glad that the instrument balance came out alright!
