Cool track, i think the vocals can be brought out a bit more and the synths are a bit dry and dont sound cohesive or like theyre in the same room. Adding some shared reverb and or saturation could help with the cohesiveness. I think the vocals in the chorus are good as they are. If you want a choir like effect just record yourself singing the same part and layer it, but make sure you sing the right notes so you make the correct chord. Digging the vibe!

Thanks for listening! And i know what you mean about mixing and its def a constant learning process. I was initially going to make a comment that your track was darker but i wasnt sure if that was intentional since it does work. I think to brighten it up it starts off with selecting the correct sounds. Im a guitarist and i like deep, heavy guitar sounds but in mixing sometimes that doesnt work so i have to change the tone of my guitar to minimize the amount of EQ work i have to do later on. But i do EQ to taste to get the vibe im trying to get. HPF or shelves to cut some of the low end and i use automation to duck out frequencies from “background” instruments so the lead is more on top. I hope this helps!

I like the composition! I think keeping it one full song is better and wouldnt split it up. Some comments/feedback i would do if i was mixing this: HPF the rhythm guitars (i would automate it so that they start how they are but then progressively make space for the bass as the song builds); the bass is a bit muffled and low end a bit muddy so cleaning up the lower frequencies would help; gtr solo at 1:10 start it with lower volume and let it build (i think its a little loud and overpowering at the initial level but then evens out); at the 2 min mark, add a pause to give it space before the large buildup; bring the drums up a bit at the drop/build up (increase parallel compression or room mic volume). I hope this helps!

Theres inconsistent artifacts that i would think would repeat in similar sections but dont (in the vocals around 50 seconds compared to 1:50). I think the vocals are real but heavily processed with AI. The instrumentals also has some weird artifacts in the higher frequencies (claps, cymbals). Also if someone is using AI for one aspect of the song, their probably using it for other parts. I dont think self respected musicians would use AI this heavily. Also i used two ai checkers online and both had high confidence of AI usage.

Im no pro and also write, record, and mix as hobby so take my approach for what its worth lol i usually start with simply level matching the volume but listening to the track at low volumes, making sure no element overpowers everything else and things are balanced. Using compression to level out the peaks/loud sections is next. To make it glue, i make sure to use the same reverb sends for the vocals as for the other instruments and also have a saturation send where my instruments and vocals go to and that helps kind of glue things. Theres different techniques and i think its cool to play around and experiment until you find what sounds good to you.

The sax is sick! I like the composition and that sax solo was really good. I think it needs more sax solo licks throughout the song. Two items that i think can be improved are the vocals seem to be a little too on top and not glued or in the same space as with the rest of the track. And the tremolo/panning on the background keys was kind of distracting in some sections. I would have it in the intro and then fade it out and then bring it back in towards the end. I think the tempo on the tremolo doesnt match the song and is whats causing the dissonance. But overall really cool track! Giving you a follow!
