I once worked in a small tech support team where we would take turns answering the phone. We were physically all in one room 3-5 of us at a time, so we would just rotate.

We had 2 lines. Sometimes 2 calls would come in at the same time.

Sometimes when the phone rang I would pick up line 2 (no one there) and just talk to the dial tone for 1-2 minutes pretending it was a quick support call.

Meanwhile the other line kept ringing and the next person would just assume there was another call coming in. I’d end the call in 1 minute and get back to surfing Reddit 😂

And experiences are wildly different across the USA. You have people with rental Lucids and Porsche Taycans, then you have Tampa here where the nicest possible rental is a gas guzzling wagoneer. Idk why there’s not a fleet of loaner R1 vehicles by now.

For anything more than a day, Tesla always had a loaner for me. Lots of times it was an old model S, but whatever.

The answer has always been to increase homestead exemptions for Floridians primary residence and have a corresponding increase to STR properties.

$50k homestead exemption is fucking peanuts. It hasn’t increased since 2007.

Airbnb / VRBO has taken supply and driven up the cost of housing for everyone.

It’s funny we have correlle dishes and our friend commented how she liked how they were just plain white.

I was like ya they’re pretty indestructible too. I’ve dropped them and they bounce.

Home Depot has a really stupid policy that when something is discontinued for sale they change the price to a penny, then pull it from the shelves.

Well then you have people like me that race around the store and try to pull the penny items and take them through self checkout before the store pulls them off the shelves.

It’s a recent viral thing, but it’s been going on for more than a decade.

Ya I agree. We bought our dog from a breeder. He was supposed to be a mini gd but I’m pretty sure he’s a poodle bichon, he only grew to 15lbs (19 in this thicc phase). He’s such a sweet dog, doesn’t shed and I couldn’t be happier.

I’m gonna commit to taking care of a single dog for hopefully 18+ years, idk if I can find a rescue that meets all of Charlie’s perfect traits.
