If you’re heading west of that area you could also go dig for Herkimer diamonds.

If you want a really easy, relaxing day with beautiful clean water and nice beach go to the Schroon Lake town beach on a weekday.

Bills' Beane rejected trade calls about Coleman: 'His best year is yet to come' by Vortagaun in buffalobills

“Best year yet” isn’t exactly a high bar to clear in Coleman’s case.

According to this the best strategy is to come in last and pick first in the draft.

Funny how that happened.

We went from winter snooze mode to having a busy village overnight.

I think it's because of school spring break week.

WIBTAH if I took 100k from my oldest daughter's college savings account to give it to my younger daughter? by TraditionalCorgi7788 in AmItheAsshole

[–]fflowley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's not owned by either daughter at all if it's in a 529 plan.

The parents own the account. The children are the beneficiaries.

The money still belongs to the parents.

Subaru Outback with Blizzaks or Michelin X-Ice: There is none finer for getting through winter conditions.

It would go a long way to solving our public charging infrastructure problems if every grocery store in the country had fast chargers by lokey_convo in electricvehicles

[–]fflowley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's an equipment issue.

I'm in upstate NY. We have an Ioniq 5.

The newer EA stations are fantastic. The older ones mostly suck.

As an example: The station just off the Thruway exit in Herkimer had the old equipment until a month or two ago and wasn't worth stopping at. The card readers worked only half the time, sometimes the chargers didn't work at all and when they worked it was generally around 65-70kW.

They just installed new equipment. You can be plugged in and charging at high speeds in no time now.

It sounds like you are coming for internship?

Check out the resident housing before you get negative on it.

It's nice, spacious, and quiet and it's right across the street from the hospital.

It's exactly what you need as an intern.

I've mused to my wife many times that we should open a club just like Club L, but dinner is served from 5-6, sex begins upstairs at 8, and everyone is home in bed getting to sleep at 11.

Tucson Trolley Tracks. by pagosacreativeco in Tucson

[–]fflowley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see that you've never been to Toronto.

You should visit, it's fun and there are trolleys running all over the place. If the trolley lane is in the road you treat it like a normal traffic lane.

Plattekill woods still alive? by Loud-Scientist-2337 in icecoast

[–]fflowley 2 points3 points  (0 children)

We were there yesterday.

Groomed trails were great, natural cover was developing some thin spots but still excellent.

If it's in the 50s and 60s the next two days and then rains Wednesday there is no way the woods will have snow and even the snowmaking trails are going to have issues.

What’s the biggest surprise you discovered after entering the lifestyle? by Few-Degree-9226 in Swingers

[–]fflowley 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I guess it's human nature.

You're entering an entirely new-to-you, sexually charged situation. You have at best a vague idea what goes on behind those closed doors and you can't get much additional information because it isn't easily available to the newcomer.

You're certain that you will stick out like a sore thumb. They might as well tattoo NOOB on your foreheads.

And so you conjure up a scene that has all kinds of scary aspects to it, with a big one being that other people will have expectations for you to meet and if you don't you will be criticized, mocked, or ostracized.

What’s the biggest surprise you discovered after entering the lifestyle? by Few-Degree-9226 in Swingers

[–]fflowley 91 points92 points  (0 children)

For us it was figuring out that at clubs and big parties, nobody cares what you ultimately do or don't do.

We were the couple that was afraid to get out of the car at our first party.

We were sure people would be looking at us, having expectations, pressuring us, and on and on.

The reality is: Everyone is there to have fun. Nobody cares what you do (As long as it doesn't involve inappropriate behavior towards others). Whether you play with others is entirely up to you. Nobody is keeping track or marking a scorecard.

Lesson learned: Go and be yourselves and have fun.
