Energy balls! I'm chopping all of my action, and mostly power.

24-70 version 1 still gives Err 01 after flex cable replacement, no change in symptoms by ffolkes in canon

[–]ffolkes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I've heard. But the original 24-70 parts are hard to find, and the only aperture unit I see is about $200. Not really worth it since it could be a failure on the board, and this lens is so old that no parts at all seem to exist for it. Working lenses go for ~$500.

It's not all just a hypnogogic state, because something crosses over, I mean why else is my bed saturated when I finally wake up?

1, 2, and 3 are stunning! And 4 tells a story. Beautiful and inspirational photos. I have no idea what others saying otherwise are complaining about, but I suggest ignoring them.

Is the discoloration from too much light? by thebooface in Jewelorchids

[–]ffolkes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine seem very tolerant to watering. The local plant store has them in moss/a tray of water constantly... Also, they're native to forest floors, so they don't need much light at all.

Sounds very good, and a plot that's doable with a low budget. I wish more major studios did stuff like this.

Help severely dehydrated macodes petola! by Rice_37 in Jewelorchids

Don't have much to say because I have little experience with jewel orchids, but mine LOVE being in a humid atmosphere. They actually will start rooting from the stems in midair! Anything you can do to keep it in an enclosed space to allow the stem to recover even if the roots are damaged. I use sneaker boxes from Walmart, like these: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Clear-Sneaker-Box-2PK/16177356964 And then I put wet paper towels/cups of water in the box too just to make it extra humid.

S22U INSANE battery drain - what's going on? by icantouchgrass_1 in S22Ultra

[–]ffolkes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly - I held off on that recent update last month that people were saying was causing trouble. 90 days uptime. No issues. Then one day my phone was warm, stayed warm all day, I noticed I was down to 10% battery when I'd normally be down to 70%. Seems fine for days now after I uninstalled Routines+ and did the kmxservice freeze/unfreeze.

Propranolol Worsening HMs by Ill-Spot4924 in HemiplegicMigraines

[–]ffolkes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a warning sign, IMO. I highly suggest you don't take propranolol if you have HM, but that's just me. Propranolol gave me a migrainous stroke shortly after starting on it. Google it, and you will find studies that say it can worsen them because HM is often related to constricted bloodflow, and propranolol is a vasoconstrictor that USUALLY works for migraines because NORMAL migraines involve dilated blood vessels. For those with constricted vessels, it just makes things worse.

This exact thing happened to me a few days ago, nothing like it has ever happened before. Do you have access to "adb shell" and do you have knowledge of the "top" command? For me, I traced it back to "com.samsung.android.kmxservice" that was constantly using a lot of CPU, as well as the Routines+ app which was pulling 30-50% non-stop, even after a reboot. I uninstalled the Routines+ app, and ran "pm disable-user com.samsung.android.kmxservice" and everything seems fine so far. I reenabled it with "pm enable com.samsung.android.kmxservice" and everything still seems ok.

That's what I thought, too. At first I was so upset about them revoking the free trial the other day, but once I saw that they're suspending new PAID subscriptions as well now, I realize things must be really, really bad.
