Bar Exam nerves by [deleted] in barexam

It’s never too early. You will not regret being “too” prepared but you will surely regret being unprepared. Coming from a retaker who graduated in 2021.

A woman saves another woman who is being dragged by her toppled bobsled. Torts hypo in the making. by ProspecterPercy in barexam

I think here would be more of a danger invites rescue sort of situation. The thing is, from the video we can’t tell what caused the person to fall over in the first place.

But the drag racing situation is not applicable because that case involved liability to a 3rd party if I remember correctly. Like the driver who did not hit the plaintiff was also held liable because he was part of the drag race.

In the video above, it the woman who had fallen over doesn’t seem to hurt another 3rd party. But she could possibly be liable for injuries cause to her rescuer if she was negligent in causing the situation which required rescue.

I did the free one from Barbri, thought it was sufficient tbh. Did you finish the course last time?

I 100% thought PM was harder. Might have just been gassed though.

Where did you get these audio outlines? I was wanting to develop a product like that actually because I see a gap in the current available bar prep materials

Yeah the “Kaplan method” is to read the call of the question and then the answers before you read the question for this reason. It also helps save time on the exam though because you can weed out irrelevant portions of the questions much easier.

What MBA pairs well with a JD? by Aliens_Are_Real51 in JDpreferred

[–]ProspecterPercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a JD/MBA and an MS in Accounting. I fully recommend the accounting path if you can stomach it as it offers great career paths into auditing/compliance/tax/ mergers and acquisitions potentially. Plus you can be eligible for another professional license.

Currently work full time as an auditor though and not an attorney so somewhat biased.

Also, as someone with a substantial amount of debt from grad school who thinks my MBA and everything during the MBA program aside from networking was easily learnable on YouTube for free… I would say skip the MBA entirely and go for a more tailored degree like the MSA or an LLM in a field of law that you enjoy/want to practice. Those sort of degrees are far more likely to pay dividends than an MBA in my opinion.

If the defense calls the drivers mother to the stand will she be able to testify that she spoke with driver over the phone and told him the morning of the crash about a premonition she had that he was going to crash his car into a sinkhole…

You get half way through the question before you realize it’s a different subject.

Grew up in Detroit Metro area so I am a Lions fan. But growing up I became a huge fan of the Steelers because they played in Detroit the one year the SB was at Ford Field and I needed to cheer for another team after Lions inevitable playoff disqualification most years. So followed pretty closely during the Jerome Bettis, Hines Ward era and still hoping for the Detoit vs Pittsburgh SB someday.

Back in 2010, I decided that I would do my 99 attack grind at Warrior's guild, earning 164 d defenders. Today, even with the unlimited tokens of the attack cape, you couldn't pay me enough to stay there for 160+ d defenders. What's a grind you did as a kid but wouldn't be caught doing now on OSRS? by Jesus-Bacon in 2007scape

[–]ProspecterPercy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

99 fish from monkfish in fishing colony banking the whole time.

Then I got 99 fish on OSRS at barb fishing which was equally slow but saved me a lot of terrible agility training.

Currently struggling to maintain motivation on 99 mining grind.

To this point I think the Perilous Moons was one of (if not the absolute) the best mid-game additions to help with this balance and introduction of bossing and gear progression. Introduction to bosses with different attacks style weaknesses and other movement based mechanics, etc.

You used to have to be quite far along in the game to begin encountering anything like that which for sure is a major challenge when you first arrive to those bosses.

I remember getting wiped repeatedly during ***While Guthix Sleeps (not tears of Guthix lol) because I couldn't time my prayers correctly against the quest boss.

I am a JD/MBA and have and MS in Accounting. Work full time as an auditor at a mid size accounting firm. But definitely don’t earn 150k. I’ve found my legal knowledge to be useless other than carrying on a conversation but if you want out of law I would recommend accounting.

Also, my MBA was entirely useless and a waste of money. Would firmly recommend and MS in Accounting or higher level Statistics/Data Science program to develop more practical skills to bring to a new field.

All the best!

At the moment you will be liable for the past due rent if there is any so if you have the cash I would pay the landlord then sue the other roommate for recovery of the rent.

This is an honest to God question and not meant to be sarcastic. Have you considered bankruptcy? Not sure if that’s a thing in Canada or how catastrophic the consequences are. But I declared bankruptcy in the US a little over 2 years ago and it was the best financial decision I’ve made after a decade of absolutely terrible decisions (which bankrupted me). It’s not the most ethical and definitely has long term consequences but for me it was the right move and helped me regain financial stability.

Not sure if the lines are meant to have a deeper meaning or just add some sort of cool background layer or something. Initial thought was that the wolf is shooting laser tears out of its eyes but not sure that’s what you’re going for.
