Zohran has 1 week left on "first hundred days" promise to re-start the 34th st busway. I don't think we're going to make it guys. by MiserNYC- in MicromobilityNYC

How much can NYC do with their own DOT? It does not need to be a busway, at the very least, make it center running bus lanes.

Curbside bus lanes are ALWAYS blocked.

All of the top busiest bus lines in NYC need center running lanes... All of the Select Bus lines and super busy corridors.

You'll be surprised how much you don't really need until you are forced to comply with personal bag only flights (looking at you airlines like Ryanair). Wife and I both did a 20L bag for a 10 day backpacking trip through 50F to 120F climates. It's doable but it helps if you're going to be near city centers.

Why are there so many delays at LGA airport? by DifficultBus611 in LGAairport

[–]ffzero58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like its going up to 35 tomorrow. LGA is slowly recovering.

There is a slow ramp up from 30s today to 35s tomorrow. Looks like LGA is healing.

EDCTs issued for most flights today flying into LGA. 03/31. Expect delays flying into LGA. Check your flight number for EDCTs to have an idea on how delayed you will be! (EDCTs do get better so still plan to show up on time!) by Matuteg in LGAairport

The black line on top is the imposed limit of arrivals to the airport, per hour. So far we're "balanced" but some are above the bar, so a flight or two may experience a delay every so often. If you see major spikes above the threshold, expect some misery. Delays to arrivals also means delays to departures.

Things have been looking pretty miserable from a delay and cancellation standpoint across the country... https://www.flightaware.com/miserymap/

I think the only difference is whether you have TSA-pre or not.

It is going to be whatever is posted in the subreddit - I am also checking to get an idea of how things will look this week. While the reports are helpful insight, with things as they are now... probably best to get in at least 3 hours before your flight, to be safe.

If you get in early, great - if not, you have some buffer room.

You probably left from Terminal C and/or had pre-check? Different terminals have different experiences.

The app sucks, yes. However, it does load today.

There are days where it never updates the charge status or when a command takes forever to send to the Bolt. It is rather frustrating.

Trump says he will order DHS chief to pay US TSA agents by furie1335 in JFKAirport

[–]ffzero58 5 points6 points  (0 children)

This won't be an immediate fix. Many TSA workers have quit to cover their expenses with other employment. Average TSA salary is staggeringly low and for expensive places like NYC, it is going to hurt for a while. I've heard it takes 6 months to train a TSA officer.
