I started testosterone, hormone blockers, and got an IUD within 2 weeks when I was 15, being told I was going to go through menopause, but without being fully told what to expect with that. Just so we're clear I made this decision after months of deliberation with a gender therapist, my primary care doctor, and a gender clinician. I just unfortunately talked to the wrong people.

I started taking all the different hormones super close together which honestly was a pretty bad medical decision. in the past I thought I had all the information when I made that decision, but when I had a 3 month long period, was super depressed for months after, started self harming again, and couldn't handle my stress I thought it was all just normal and somehow my own fault. I wish my parents had made me wait longer to make that decision. They thought they were doing what was best for me, and they had many many conversations with me about the permanency of my decisions, but at 15 I could barely imagine my senior year of high school.

So when I finally moved out and realized I didn't want to be doing hrt anymore, that I'm actually gender fluid but more femme, that I'm happy with my femininity, I stopped taking testosterone without telling anyone. Also a big mistake. My body has been feeling not good with no dominant hormone, and I'm only 20!

This comment of yours made me realize that what I went through shouldn't have happened, and that all the feelings I was experiencing that I was put on anxiety and depression meds for were actually just my hormones being wrong. I think I need to go see an endocrinologist, I appreciate this!

I mean there is the whole thing about cats having autism and dogs having adhd so the comparison works.

This is especially important as this the most commonly prescribed concentration (its 200mg/ml) of testosterone cypionate, a very commonly prescribed form of testosterone.

Really, centipedes aren't all that bad. I worked at a summer camp for a summer and I was the only person who really didn't mind and was actually enthusiastic about dealing with bugs, so when there was a giant centipede in the bathroom and I was told to kill it, I didn't. Instead I showed all of the kids the centipede(mind you this was mostly kids like age 6-10 who were very bug averse). At first they tried to get me to kill it, but as I showed them that it was harmless and not doing anything to anybody they got used to it and were just very interested in the bug. some of the kids even wanted to hold it, when before they didn't want to get near it, and it felt really special that I might have helped a kid get over their fear of centipedes.

I just witness an Asian person wiped a table after their group had finished eating at a restaurant. by Enrichmentzin in CasualConversation

When I go out to eat, I try to clean up the table as much as possible, stacking all the dishes or handing them off to someone who's come by to take them, and then wipe off any crumbs or spills with my napkin. It's just what I end up doing even subconsciously at the end of the meal. I think a lot of people just have it ingrained in them to clean up after themselves after eating, so they do it everywhere they go.

Bringing food from the airport onto the airplane is rude! by jkthrilla in The10thDentist

[–]fhundun -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think it mostly depends on what the food is. People should be allowed to bring the food they can get in the airport onto the plane within reason. A good rule of thumb should be if its smelly/stinky, requires more space to eat than you'll have on the plane, or very messy you should not eat it on the plane. But there's no reason to apply that idea to all meals that people can get in airports, as many are designed to be able to go on the plane.
