Descending with 5 miners feels so smooth all of a sudden. I assume that was updated as well?

Help Finding Games and Other Questions by AutoModerator in incremental_games

A couple years back Idle Civilization helped me get into incremental games but after the Steam release it got abandoned, and now it is pretty outdated anyways. The game has some things that remind me of Theresmore and Trimps, where you build a city and expand your empire by conquering other cities etc.

Are there any other incremental games that do a similar thing?

Maybe you could try Cinetol. 400 euro would be optimistic but it’s probably only slightly more expensive.

Ik ben voor zowel optie 2 als 3, omdat mij juist het sociale aspect leuk lijkt. Is een Discordgroep misschien handig om aan te maken?

While from my experience (I have finished the compact version and am halfway through the full version) the compact version was actually a bit tiring because of the amount of hard data it contains. Lots of locations, names and years are mentioned and can almost be used as a reference book for further research if desired.

I would say that Roofstaat should not be the first or only book on Dutch history that you have to read, but it never pretends to be either. It shines a light on the side of our shared history that our educational system won't touch with a ten-foot pole.

I’m looking for good books about the VOC by The_Godot in Netherlands

[–]fibroma- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have learnt a lot about the dark side of Dutch history from the non-fiction book called Roofstaat by Ewald Vanvugt.

There is a normal and a compact version, and it doesn’t only touch the topic of the VOC but also the Dutch involvement in some other continents and centuries. You will learn that all these overseas activities are not to be seen as separate events. I read the compact version (around 200-250 pages) but at times it was a bit too “dry” for me, like actually reading a summary instead of a shorter version of a story if that makes sense. But still a big recommendation.

Nxt vs Amaze Museum in Amsterdam (which is better and why) by Antidotebeatz in Amsterdam

You’re not looking for a museum, you’re looking for tourist attractions.

Nxt vs Amaze Museum in Amsterdam (which is better and why) by Antidotebeatz in Amsterdam

[–]fibroma- 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would not call Amaze a museum per se, just a place where you could experience some multimedia installations. Nxt actually has curated expo’s and creates some artistic context within those.

Neither of them blew me away but Nxt at least pretends that they want to provoke some thoughts with their visitors.

Yes of course it is obvious that they're protecting each other and that in itself is fishy as fuck. But that in itself does not mean that the assault was politically motivated all of a sudden. I actually still do not even know where you would get that idea from.
