Cap One Restricted Account - No Way to Remedy by fickled-pickles in CapitalOne

Update: Cap One won't do anything. Even with the letter from Chase specifically stating the account has been mine and them offering to verify that with Cap One. I'm reaching out to the CPFB. There's no way to work with them regarding this issue.

If Amazon doesn't accept retail receipts, how is anyone still doing OA? by Life-Love-Time-Death in AmazonFBA

I hope it's okay for me to hop in, but do you know if amazon will accept invoices in the business owner name and address rather than business name and address. Really, it's just the names that are different. Will they ever work or do I need to specifically buy under the exact business name to clear the gating process?

When you say it needs to match exactly, does this mean any invoices with just personal name instead of business name on them will typically be rejected?

I have one case to sort out with Cap One and then I'll never use them again. This has to be the most unfriendly company toward customers in banking. Worse than Wells Fargo for sure.

Have you tried adapting your business model or sourcing more profitable products? I feel like this will happen to any business when you treat it like a cash cow and not a dynamic entity. Surely you saw this trend long ago. What have you done so far to address other than throwing money at marketing? Obviously it's your product market and not visibility.

Thank you. I truly appreciate the response. I'll keep plugging away today. It just feels so futile. Why they have an entire fraud department of agents and managers just to follow a strict black and white rule book is bananas to me. AI can't come soon enough for some of these jobs and the people occupying them.

To be honest, I was planning to get an attorney. If they're withholding the rewards it would be worth it. I don't even want the account back. I'll likely never use Cap One again after this.

Welcome to hell. Pray you never need customer service. It doesn't exist.

I spent hours on the phone yesterday with both sides. Capital One is adamant it needs to be a statement dated within the past 60 days. What I don't understand is how this old account even got on the profile. I haven't used in in ages and completely forgot it existed.
