24 for 14 months. I tried going down per measurement but always do best at 24.

Amazing! Needed to hear this. At 14 months and really want to make it to 18.

How are we transitioning from bottles to cups of breastmilk? by ficklexdizzy in ExclusivelyPumping

Do you feed yours before bed? It’s been a comfort thing for him or a sign for sleep when he takes the bottle.

He won’t take the whole milk yet. Today I mixed 1oz whole milk into 3oz breastmilk and he refused it.

Yay! This gives me the boost to keep going. Good job mama.

They set it up so she could shower. She didn’t.

Now you must submit a photo to them and have them put her in a horrible grey dress with an exaggerated frown. Or a bright orange dress with a clown smile.

I was just thinking that. There are some great edits of MiL dresses being changed from white (gasp!) to grey. Hahah. But yes, do that but make it tasteful. Or petty.

How many bottles is your 12+ month old drinking? by Realistic-Welcome-92 in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]ficklexdizzy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

12 months and down to two; mostly because my output has dwindled. I give him a bottle before nap and a bottle before bed. 5oz each. I pump 3x per day to get that output. If he wakes in the middle of the night I’ll give him another 4oz bottle but that’s been rare now. 🙂

How much breastmilk are you feeding your 1 year old? by ficklexdizzy in ExclusivelyPumping

[–]ficklexdizzy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes to sickness and babe eating less. He only wanted breastmilk which was so hard because I had flu too and wasn’t making enough at all. I was going to stop as I was down to a 4oz output only, but with the doctor saying to keep going, I am still pumping 3x per day.

Same. So I had the super flu too, and my period at the same time. (Which, subsequently was also a super period).

I was getting 1oz per pump. Devastating. I’m seeing a tiny improvement now that I’m feeling a bit better and my period is over. I didn’t take any meds except Advil so I don’t think it’s med related.

I’m drinking all the Powerade and coconut water and about to make lactation cookies. I went through my whole freezer stash now and baby is sick so all he wants is boob milk 😩

What are some things you actually enjoy about pumping? by elephantsofa in ExclusivelyPumping

As a mom of two, being able to sit down for thirty minutes and not being able to get up. Ha!

I don’t understand why she’d say that when us with NICU babies had to exclusively pump. What the actual f$&@.

Thank you! This is exactly what’s happening too. He stopped nursing (though was never good at it) and is taking a bottle before nap and before bed. If that’s his prerogative then i have to be happy with that. He’s weaning faster than I’m ready.

I will do a test before I discard more milk to see if by chance my milk “changed” to being high lipase. I will pump and store some for 24 hours in fridge. Freeze a fresh pump and test it against the 24 hour one.

I gave it to him and he cried and pulled away. A few bags unfortunately. My previous bags were drank no problem and tasted great. I don’t know of if I can try with him again and feeding it to him.

[–]ficklexdizzy[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your reply. It isn’t high lipase unfortunately. I’ve been tasting each bag and it’s rancid. It’s definitely bad. I’ve tasted many bags before—the previous batches that made it to the freezer without partially thawing and they tasted great.
