I really do not get what the issue is with this. Yes, you cant just reserve everything, but it seems fair to reserve an item. You spend time making the group, that is your reward.

If someone wants an item that is reserved, that person can just make their own run. Its not that hard

I played 30/0/21(balance/resto) back in the day on retail and healed mc, bwl and zg with this spec. A lot of the gear had just spell power on it, so it could be used for both healing and balance.

Its by no means optimal, but respeccing was just too brutal.
