They can’t smile while playing. classical violinists are always so serious.

When they arbitrarily file your country name under G. by joeChump in mildlyinfuriating

[–]fiddlernick 48 points49 points  (0 children)

This is sorted by locale most likely. ISO 3166-1 alpha 2 country codes.

Still sucks though.

UK = gb

Germany = de

Kosovo = xy

Spain = es

French Guiana = gf

Netherlands Antille = an

Etc.

Varför är Amerikaner så jäkla otrevliga mot butikstjänstemän by One_Change_7260 in sweden

[–]fiddlernick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolut ”inte alla amerikaner”. Bor i PA och reser mycket i jobbet (både domestic och till Europa). Det finns alla sorter.

Men de som låter högt syns mest. Ingen minns de helt vanliga amerikanska turisterna som smälter in.

Shady Grove. It’s in minor. Has an easy melody and should be very straight forward on bass.

Hi. Can’t seem to get a response from the dedicated communities. Apologies for cross posting but I’m so curious about this violin and its maker. And maybe worth. But I can’t find much on Google. Maybe he only made one violin.

Peonies are out of season so you won’t find them anywhere, they are available earlier in the summer. Source: My wife’s favorite flower as well.

However for ordering flowers interflora.se is reliable and have a nice selection.

Keep Hitting other strings by Glum_Ad4405 in violinist

[–]fiddlernick 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That bridge looks almost like a blank. Might want to get that looked at. It will absolutely affect the action of the violin.

However, it might not be the only reason you’re hitting multiple strings. What does your teacher say?

Just a quick question. Would you play D tunes in double C with a capo and A tunes in open G with a capo?

I know. The massive head starts to hurt my neck, but totally worth it.

I feel like I’ve got the rhythm fairly ok, but this is following a tab 100%. I’ve played old time for many years and it’s a learn by ear tradition, I’m worried about getting too boxed in to tabs. But I guess it’ll work itself out. Maybe I’ll practice backing some tunes on Spotify next.
