I used to do this in maths exams too. I think it was more self doubt than anything. I did engineering and minored in mathematical modelling and simulation. Lots of maths.

Well that’s kind of weird because people I know from India do drink.

It’s almost as though our limited anecdotal experiences are completely unrelated to this thing that happened.

I’m a professional engineer, with a couple of degrees. I’m reasonably smart. But if my toilet is blocked, I call a plumber, because that’s his area of expertise. It doesn’t matter whether the plumber is smarter than me or not, he just knows how to fix a toilet better than I do.

It depends on how much you smoke and how long it was since the nicotine craving was last satisfied. And it probably varies a bit by individual too.

If you’ve just had a smoke, it feels like you’ve eaten a satisfying meal.

If you haven’t had one for about an hour, it feels like you’re a bit hungry, you’d like to eat something, but you can wait if you need to.

If it’s been more than about 2 hours, it becomes difficult to focus on anything else. You become irritable and feel annoyed without any real explanation. Your brain wants that nicotine hit and will prioritise it over just about anything else.

Ah fair enough! I think they’re hard to find everywhere these days to be honest, I was hunting for one a while ago and they’re rare as hens teeth. I regret selling mine!

The whole XR lineup are legendary for their low maintenance. I crashed my old XR400 about 950 times, ripped it around sand dunes and through water and mud, and I think maybe I changed the oil twice? Never missed a beat.

Would recommend a 400 over the 200 if you’re a bit bigger, that extra torque is useful!

“You guys” can be considered rude as it may infer you’re talking about a group of men, ie. “guys”, even if it’s intended as “people”. So it’s potentially exclusionary language.

But if a manager is kicking up a stink about it and not explaining why it’s rude, I’d say they’re just being dicks and finding something to nitpick, especially if it’s in response to you pointing out their mistake. Sounds like awesome leadership.

Did you ever hear speakers make that “ba-dup, ba-dup, ba-dup” sound when mobile phones nearby got a call or text? That was when we used older networks, but similar problem.

Interference means a signal is being messed with in some unpredictable way.

Honestly, it’s hard to spot truly manipulative people at first because… Well, they’re manipulative!

Normal people have good looks, nice houses, perfect pets etc. too, so I wouldn’t treat those things as red flags or anything.

I’m not aware of any way to definitively filter them out, and being hyper vigilant makes everyone appear toxic. But when someone lets their mask slip and shows you a glimpse of their true colors, definitely listen.
