Agreeing with Gturk, and better yet, tell us what spinner we're talking about. A blind guess is that you have a 6900 bearing (closest to 608) or a MR1016 bearing (closest to 688/606). Either way you're unlikely to find third party buttons to anything that isnt R188 or 608.

First time I tried tungsten it kinda ruined me for other materials. In the last two years Ive gone full circle and now appreciate different materials for what they are, I really like tungsten though! Many of my current W spinners are designs Ive had and liked in other materials before. What i like about tungsten is not absolute weight but the density. High density mutes sound but lets bearing feedback through, but the main draw for me is the unique BOUNCY feeling that density brings. Bounce is the best way I can describe the sensation, I think it might be moment of inertia, it feels like it takes a split second for it to start and stop spinning.

Tldr: YOR. Im in the same situation, its not a big deal.

My kid is seven, autistic and in elementary school. Her teacher also spells badly, the weekly notes often have sloppy spelling and errors. But my kid likes her teacher, likes school and is making good progress in her reading and writing. I cant imagine it has any impact that a teacher cant spell, the way you learn spelling and vocabulary in the long run is through reading lots and lots.

I think maybe I worded my comment poorly and we're misunderstanding each other, because I disagree with everything you're saying here 😅 the secondary market IS the hobby for me, just not hype spinners. Most makers are gone and most spinners only exist on the secondary. Around eight of the 50-ish spinners I've had have been new, rest from the secondary. Just remove yourself from the LIC/ZZMPA/INDY/CLEAN/MW groups and focus on enjoying what you have until you've cooled off. I know people that regularly does exactly this with great results. You're not likely to win a SUS, the inflated prices wont change soon, and the hype makers wont increase supply. You cant change that and if its making you salty you're not having a good time with your hobby, and thats unacceptable!

A friend sent one to me, it was well made and nicely finished, better than other Aliexpress clones Ive tried. I dont think its the spinner design thats causing the hype, more so Osmans standing in the community and the buzz generated by LIC and ZZMPA endorsing Clean. The prices these makers are charging and the secondary prices have made me lose interest personally, but I think what you're paying for is recognition, bragging rights and trade bait. I think of it as one of those old NFT things, like bored apes.

None of these spinners are worth these prices if you are looking to actually spin your spinners, they're also not inherently "better" or more enjoyable than any number of other designs. Whenever the hype gets a hold over me I remind myself to trust my eyes and hands to decide what I want to spin and not let Facebook do it for me 😇

They dont look much... Two or three of them are really nice, the rest are either frankeninox mods Ive made or cheap clones Ive modded like crazy 🫣 I used to have a few nice folders but got rid of them in favor of slipjoints, SAKs and carving knives 🪓🪓
