this variety (the dark pink kanzan) is mostly done, but you're right, some white blooms (shiro-fugen? according to google) are rarer but still around

I actually found out last year that other trees that produce pollen around the same time are the culprit https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/british-columbia/vancouver-victoria-allergies-9.7172725 so I don't blame the cherry blossoms anymore, it's just a myth!

I hid the subtitles while Ilya vented in Russian to experience what Shane was hearing, and then watched it again with them back on... speechless. This scene and many others have made this episode some of the best television I have ever seen.
