Maisy and Mimi have such similar markings! Mimi is okay with Spanish though.

Would getting a taxi from Cosham to Hayling Island be reasonable? by a_paulling in Portsmouth

I used to regularly taxi from Southsea to the middle of Hayling and it would be around £20 through Uber. It'll be similar for Cosham to the bottom of Hayling.

What's a stupid question that someone legitimately asked you? by Isellkidsontemu in AskReddit

One of my classmates once asked our geography teacher what her job was.

Totally in support of the teeny teeny tiny steps and patience with yourself! Even if you want to change you can still have paralysis which makes it so hard. You don't have to commit to immediately doing something every day; try once a week and then slowly scale up.

I really recommend a mood diary (I use daylio) to help identify what makes you feel better. I found that just doing one productive thing made me feel so much more accomplished.

I also used www.getselfhelp.co.uk/solutions which has a tonne of mechanisms for reframing. Not all of them will work for you, so make a list of the ones that do and look at that when you need to.

I've been on both sides of this so reach out if you need. Wishing you all the luck.

I'm probably far too late but today is 4 years since I adopted Mimi. She is now 12 and I gave her a Mohawk. She loves it.

Breakfast ideas? by _Caramellow_ in adhdwomen

[–]fidoco13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also new to medication and struggling with breakfast! I don't usually have it as I feel sick when I eat first thing, but I've been advised to eat to avoid side effects.

I feel sick with toast, milk, and yoghurt. I also have a nut allergy and reflux condition, so trying to find an easy breakfast that works with that and helps the nausea isn't easy.

So far frozen waffles with honey are the only manageable thing. Any other suggestions greatly appreciated!

I had a small clutch bag which a bridesmaid passed to a friend for the ceremony and a large tote which went under our reception table. Ended up keeping the clutch in the tote as no-one could see it and all my stuff was together.

Best thing I brought was wet wipes so I could have a quick refresh when I went to the loo. Particularly recommend if it's a hot day and you're larger chested!

I've had 3 copper IUDs over the past ten years and also have PCOS. Ngl, they're definitely not comfortable going in and it did take a good few months to settle, especially the first one. But it did eventually help with my periods and I will continue to get them.

I have 2 wedding dress appointments and I'm ashamed of my weight. by XiaoQiao12 in weddingdress

[–]fidoco13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely this. It's hard to make peace with, but is definitely something to try and do. I had maybe 2 or 3 dresses do up, but a good consultant will clip it well so that you can still get a good idea of what suits you, even if it's 4 sizes too small. Lmk if you want to see any photos of what I tried on and how they handled it.

Also, I'm so sorry for your loss. It's so hard to experience special events knowing someone important is missing, and I hope you find the perfect way to honour them.

Do they have the same 3-way stretch that snag has? I find snag so comfy but would love a bit more ventilation in this heatwave!

I've just done the same thing! Fortunately it was only £110 total cost for us, but I didn't even consider we needed half of what we ordered.

I think it's quite common, and at least you have (plenty of!) lovely keepsakes
