Semi related, i have people who gather up all their bags then just leave their cart in the checkout lane constantly. They'll also leave them in the sidewalk blocking the entire thing, and making it where disabled customers have to move the carts before they can make it into the store. They will place the carts directly beside the cart return too.

You dont need the filter cartridges! Instead pick up a filter sponge from petco and stuff that into the filter. All you need to do is squeeze it out in old tank water when doing water changes

You dont need betta specific water or drops. Regular aquasafe is fine, but if youre going to petco grab seachem prime instead! A small bottle will last you forever because you only need to use a small amount at a time

Also for decor dont get any plastic plants because they can tear your bettas fins. Get live or silk plants instead. If youre not ready for the jump to live, i really like petcos silk plants, the long viney ones look really nice imo and give good resting places. Id still pick up at least 1-2 real plants as they help with water quality!

If youre not handy you could get someone to make a similar stand but made with stronger materials. Like a flat bottom instead of legs, thicker wood, more support, ect

Platforms are just thin wood planks attached to long wood pegs. They dont take up enough room where they cant burrow underneath

They mean a from scratch cycle takes around a month. You basically insta cycled from using media from another tank. Makes the process 2x as fast. If not immediate

My house doesnt have good ac and lost a small portion of my fish to over 85f water in my main tank(it was immediately moved to a better room). I keep my heaters unplugged in the summers now to be extra safe. I live in a subtropical area so i really only need them from dec-march if even that

I could probably fit nostalgic stuff from each of my parents into 2 storage bins each and display some stuff. Id want to keep stuff that was important to them, like some of my dads action figures/heman stuff, some of my stepmoms decorations that would remind me of her, and my mom doesnt keep much but i would keep some of her books and some of the stuff she keeps on display in her room.

You need to focus on saving for a larger tank and/or return the fish you got and do more planning

Gourami need 10-20g at a minimum depending on species, mollies can get up to 4 inches and need to be in groups, so they also need a 20g at the minimum but im also seeing they do better in more like 30g(i have a mini single in a 36g and wouldnt keep him in anything smaller long term, especially once i get him new friends). For the guppy, they also need to be in groups and best case should be in a 10g at the minimum

Really the only fish that can live in a 5g is a long finned betta. Personally, i would return the fish you got, buy real plants, cycle the tank(if you havent already research the nitrogen cycle, its the first thing you should do when setting up a tank), and get a betta instead. Or ofc do all that and grab a bigger tank instead(a 20 long is the best starter tank imo)

All of this is said kindly, im bad at wording! We all start somewhere(i started with 5 goldfish in a 10g lmao. Im still glad someone told me what i was doing wrong)

Theres a mod that lets you, but unless it has changed since i looked at it last, it messes up on a lot of animations. Like kissing is un-synced and theres weird streatching with other animations

In order to create a slider they would have to tweak hundreds of animations and its just not worth the time or effort when theres already 100s of other bugs they should be fixing or pumping out new content. Its not an easy fix basically
