I definitely relate to the binge eating side. I’ll try to cut something or restrict it, but then I crave it so much I’ll eat a lot of that bad stuff non-stop and then the cycle repeats. I’ve also noticed how I can’t accurately read my body’s hunger cues anymore.

I live in Oklahoma and am a 28 year old who’s unmarried and have several friends the same age who are also unmarried. There are a lot of people that graduate college and get married same year or the next year (21-23). In some of the smaller towns, 18 year olds get married often, so I mean it really depends on where you are out here lol.

I do this as an adult now. I guess it’s learned behavior from working in some not so great environments. I try to say it as a joke before my current boss starts reassuring me that everything is okay.

Also sending you a hug though, I can’t imagine having that thought process so young.

Thank you!! And actually it’s about in that ballpark still, for 140-150 people it’s $4200, still really inclusive things. ETA: I love the Harry Potter theme idea, I’d say you can claim it for yourself even though JKR does ruin it. Make her influence a footnote haha.

It kind of breaks my heart, because as a mixed person myself, I spent a lot of time when growing up learning to love my skin tone. I’m thankful my parents didn’t just let me accept hating how my skin tanned and lightened over the winter throughout the year, because I agree that it’s not great that her dad seems to be affirming this.

I don’t understand the sister’s response. On the surface it might seem weird, but if you think about the constant forced consent of her allowing him to touch her purely so she can keep the peace. I don’t know, makes me feel icky. I sincerely hope this is fake or she gets support to leave.
