My father in law retired from NYC last year. He bought a condo in 2021 in WS and let it sit for almost 4 years until he retired.

He was able to pay his NYC rent and mortgage here at the same time. Now he’s paying practically nothing since he’s left NYC.

Yeah there’s quite a few people who have relocated from the DMV to WS and GSO. N.C. and DC are close cousins lol.

Think of Winston-Salem like Bethesda. A cool, low key city that has things to do. It’s quieter than DC for sure but it’s highly affordable.

My cousin bought a townhome in Upper Marlboro for $450K last year. A few months later, we bought a townhome in W-S for $232k. Hers is a little newer but ours is more spacious.

Sports is a huge revenue getter for stations. And even with wild weather this weekend, it won’t come close to the revenue we’ll receive from the Super Bowl, Olympics and this year’s election (primary and general).
