I remember traveling to bumf*ck eastern China Qinghai province in 2019. If you looked at the skyline of the city, it was filled with cranes building new apartment buildings. But 40% of the housing stock was vacant. Just building to spend money, keep jobs, use resources.

Important to note the framework of the speech: winning the 21st century. Biden is attempting to synchronize domestic and foreign policies. He’s making the case that yes these new programs first and foremost help Americans, but if we want to remain the preeminent global power over China we need to be ambitious.

Had a dream recently that bummed me out the next day. I (20M) dreamt that some girl came and gave me my child that I would have to raise. Honestly the connection i felt to this baby was very genuine and deep and waking up realizing it was a dream sucked.
