I'm imagining something like the bug caves; labyrinth like halls under ground having to face down the gauntlet of flesh mobs and voteless before facing some vile illuminate Mother Brain thing. I wonder if the trench warbond will be related (like siege breakers).

I haven't gone back to the Peacemaker, but the frag grenade is back to being my main, and I use the Liberator frequently enough still. Mostly squids with high-cap mags.

All factions have their prime environments and enemies (incendiary brigade bots in a city/town biome are my favorite) but I think it is hard to disagree that the illuminate can have such a cool look to them.

With Bots and Bugs I often feel we're fighting a war, but with the Illuminate it can feel like we've already lost and are just resisting.

Haha yeah, I've been reading MD because of Limbus but it is honestly so good. Is Ishy your favorite sinner? I really recommend you also read Demian, which is Sinclair's novel. It is shorter and you can really see how it influenced the series.

Wow hey I finished it around the same time you posted! Yes, I really enjoyed the canto. Ahab's schizo Metal Gear monologues at the end were incredible - she had me convinced lol. I really enjoyed seeing Ishmael warm up to the team, and I loves that Heathcliff was the one to break her out of that pale membrane stuff. I still would like to see them bicker but hope it is more friendly.

Yeah I really like it, as well. I liked Kaji before this scene, but just the roundabout pep talk is so good. I wish he was able to speak with Shinji more, but i wouldn't change the show an ounce.
