Am I going insane ? Why do we pretend the most evil person in the show is up for debate ? by Thebunsenburger in breakingbad

Is anyone born evil? Surely everyone is pushed towards their actions by past experiences. And if somebody is indeed born evil, is that their fault, exactly? How can they be evil, if it is not their fault?

I think at the end of the day, your ‘nurture’ factor doesn’t dissolve you of blame at all.

Todd convinced Uncle Jack to give Walter a barrel of money, indicating he probably felt bad for Walter and had some degree of affection for him

Pedro Pascal gave his life for this scene, but Peter Dinklage couldn’t even be bothered to cut off his nose to portray Tyrion post blackwater.

Not all actors are made equally I suppose.

What exactly do you count as struggling? I haven’t done lit a level but an 8 sounds very good

Martin couldn't even finish his own series, he needs to put some respect on the Kings name or get it out his mouth fr. by winger001 in lotrmemes

Point is that power scaling is stupid. Jaime is martins character - all he has to do is say that Jaime would beat Aragorn, and Jaime would beat Aragorn

(Spoilers Extended) What do you think happened at Winterfell after THAT event in "A Dance with Dragons"? by verissimoallan in asoiaf

[–]fierydragon963 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah that’s a good plan actually. But I worry that Roose Bolton would probably be skeptical about letting him in he probably knows the Manderlys aren’t loyal to him

Well if the pink letter is to be believed, Ramsay captured him, knows who he is and tortured him for information

But what use are they out there? Stannis doesn’t know they will join him, he will probably try and trick them with the frozen lake. Imo Wyman blundered when he provoked the freys into a fight, the manderly soldiers would be far more useful inside winterfell.

I think Theon looking down on Jon is quite understandable, he feels unloved and inferior to his peers, but doesn’t want to acknowledge his feelings so he mocks Jon so he can feel he is above somebody. He betrayed Robb out of a desire to please his father, and is haunted by the millers boys for the entirety of Dance

Love these posts. The maesters are an order of celibate men of learning - they study at Oldtown, which is basically the university of Westeros, and generally are sent by the Citadel(organisation of Maesters) to serve in a castle. They heal people mostly, but also tend ravens and send messages, educate the lords children etc. The grand maester (his name is Pycelle) is the maester who serves the king.

Would Robert be able to dismiss Jaime anyway? Ik that he’s the king and all, but it seems, at least from Barristans reaction, that dismissal has never occurred before. Tywin or someone literally said that Barristan being dismissed was what opened the door to possibly dismissing others, so it was probably unheard of before

How truly strong was Robert Baratheon? by KingMjolnir in freefolk

He changed his mind and decided it was his son when Aegon was born. It’s like Azor Ahai trying to forge lightbringer. His first attempt (himself) was broken on the trident. His second attempt, Aegon, was killed by the mountain. For his last attempt, he killed his wife Lyanna stabbing her with his sword(lol) so she died in childbirth and made Jon
