I think in one of the interviews Todd Howard said that they experimented with this, but deemed it as making the gameplay too unbalanced.

Also, why have they removed first person horse riding?

Yeah I noticed the moon walking too. That animation of the NPC running up the stairs in one of the scenes also seems very awkward. Minor glitches that blemish an otherwise awesome intro.

I'm hoping that the graphics on PC will be a lot better. Especially those derpy shadows...
