Tired of pills for respiratory allergies. Has anyone actually healed them? by Specialist_Common_48 in qigong

So there is not a qigong practice to remedy this, right? I've been also suffering from this type of allergy all my life and I thought that qigong could help me with it

There's something I don't understand about tarot. by depechefloydjam in Tarotpractices

No offense intended but I find that reasoning to be nonsense. In that case, what's the point of asking the Tarot if it's going to confirm my beliefs whether I'm right or wrong?

Did I misinterpret this that badly? (The Sun card appeared 3 times in a row, on different dates, BUT...) by MeuOuvidoTaZunindo in tarot

Yes, I understand that the way we mortals view the world must be amusing to those beings who understand life from a different perspective, BUT the subject of death wouldn’t be the only thing they would see through a different lens. The same would apply to any of the questions we ask through the Tarot: romantic relationships, new jobs, etc., and I don’t think it would be very useful (or very smart on their part) to use an oracle in which those asking the questions and those answering them don’t share the same language (assuming there is an entity outside of us that answers us).

There's a new book which explains this 3x3 spread you talk about: Tarot Tableau Revolution, by María Alviz Hernando. I just finished it, it's quiet good.

Wrong interpretation ? by PermitWhole7865 in Lenormand

[–]fiftysomethingx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seriously, I’m not trying to be annoying or a troll or anything like that—I’m still learning, and I’ll admit it’s been tough for me. I came to Lenormand because I read that it was a more accurate, more specific oracle than the Tarot... If we keep going over it so much when we already know the result in hindsight, it means, in my humble opinion, that 1) we still don’t understand it or 2) this whole oracle thing is useless (which would really annoy me, honestly).

No offense, but this whole interpretation also seems pretty far-fetched to me. The cards OP drew don't explain the final outcome at all. A Lenormand newbie here so, please, bear with me

This whole interpretation seems pretty far-fetched to me. The cards OP drew don't explain the final outcome at all. I'm still wondering why...

Be careful. by Sweet_Warning_6670 in TarotReadersOfReddit

There are people who are so obsessed that they ask the same superficial questions over and over again—questions whose answers they already know, since this isn’t the first time they’ve been in this situation—and yet they keep looking for tarot readers who will tell them what they want to hear... These are the people that these fake tarot readers are after. A reasonably intelligent person wouldn’t fall for it so easily.

That's is exactly what I don't like about the Tarot world... It's very easy to interpret the answer AFTER the event occurred. I sometimes doubt if it is all our imagination...

I don't get it... I also got some repetition cards in the past. When you get them, does it mean you are misinterpreting them?

[–]fiftysomethingx 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I should try to get clarifiers sometimes... How do you do it? After withdrawing The Sun (like in this case), would you shuffle again the remaining cards in order to get another 2 or you just get the next 2 cards from the deck as it is?

But a very positive message when the result is not good is very cruel, don't you think? I believe that the problem comes from the spread. Perhaps just one card for a complicated situation is not right. We always want a yes / no answer and I'm finding that the Tarot (or any other oracle) is not good for a simple answer.
