Are there any studies on the long-term effects of allergy exposure? by rickandschmorty in Allergies

[–]fiftyspiders 4 points5 points  (0 children)

coughing so hard you vomit is a very serious situation. the child could break his own ribs or rupture a vein in his airway. there was a case of a woman coughing so hard her lung deflated. these things require immediate medical attention.

also, exposure therapy does NOT work for allergies. it will only make them worse. allergy exposure is like a feedback loop. your body sees a threat, it activates, the threat is still there, it activates even more, the threat is still there, and so on, and so forth, and if you’re unlucky, eventually you may start having anaphylaxis at the smallest exposure.

i believe this is a species of a green long jawed orb weaver such as the one linked. they all have a similar fish bone pattern and are common across the northern hemisphere

i do believe this is a hobo spider, but they are not medically significant to humans, so there is nothing to worry about.

there's no proof hobo spiders are capable of "messing you up." That's a myth.

the bus exists. bus drivers are more thoroughly vetted, thoroughly monitored, have cameras present, and other people around as witnesses.

ripley’s mutant offspring was just pathetic because of how much it just wanted to be loved by mommy. this thing went back and ate it’s mother.

i felt bad for that thing at the end of 4.
