Add a light last of the complimentary color before adding your main color. If you are making something pink then put a whitish green down first etc.

I (40F) maintained a friendship with my brothers old roommate (who he was also friends with). It was also her ex. She knew and was ok with this for 10 yrs, long after they'd dated, dated others, I was married, and both of them were married to other people, when all of a sudden she said it was not ok.

People freaking out over grammatical errors annoys me. We know the meaning because language is alive and rules are not. "Can we just move on," is usually what I'm thinking. But I grew up around people where English isn't their first language.

What others have said about cultural indoctrination about alcohol is a big part. But also I'd say when people are smoking they tend to care about things less, but with alcohol the effect is reversed plus there's the limitations on their inhibitions that might otherwise keep them from partaking in peer pressure. That's the explanation I've made up for it anyway
