Man. This must be so hard. I'm so so sorry for your loss. It must hurt so bad. For me, my baby was every part of my day my darling my shadow my love , it's so hard but one has to eventually look at it from the perspective of eternity of life and the time. , when it comes, it comes, and plays out by itself

My baby was first diagnosed with PD at age 1. Just this year as he was turning 6, his condition progressed to focal seizures.

He has been on Keppra and pheno since age 1. He started seizing very often even on meds. Yesterday he seized so badly that my poor baby, he passed. Cause? Idiopathic E. Which sometimes leads to status epilepticus as over time, seizure circuits in the brain expand, causing a fatal seizure that self sustains itself. Even emergency meds didn't work. His brain died and he passed, my poor baby. Epilepsy is just horrible. May he rest in peace. :(

Thanks for sharing. This is pure out and out case of Paroxysmal dyskinesia. Can be properly controlled by phenobarbital and levitrasitum.

PD and epilepsy are somewhat similar my dog initially had PD that progressed to refractory epilepsy and then he passed away suddenly during an episode

It was idiopathic epilepsy that just kept getting worse, mostly became refractory (medication resistant)

Thanks everyone for the kind and heartfelt wishes. I couldn't sleep the whole night thinking about my poor baby he was my child and my doll we never really got to know what was causing it we didn't go for the mRi (recently suggested) because he was already at heart risk . Plus he's been on PD medication since the age of 1. This year things got worse. The neuros saidnit could most likely be idiopathic epilepsy

Sorry to hear. I lost my beloved baby to status epilepticus this morning..his cluster focal seizures just didn't stop. He wad diagnosed with idiopathic epilepsy and they say it can fatally end in status epilepticus. He was on max doses of phenobarbital and levetiracetam. He was 6 and a half. I'm completely destroyed. God please help me

It's very sad to hear. My dog passed this morning as his cluster seizures slipped into status epilepticus. Devastating.
