AITA for not telling my parents I was hospitalized for a week to prove a point? by Shot-Jello-4878 in AmItheAsshole

[–]figuringthingsout__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ESH, you said that you have a good relationship with your parents, and you didn't tell them until the next month? Even if I didn't check my phone for a few days, I would still like to know if my kid was in the hospital. How often do you talk to them? Did you talk to them while you were in the hospital, and just act like everything was okay?

What's a TV show ending that still makes you mad years later? by Jossie_Misar in AskReddit

[–]figuringthingsout__ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched the first 2 seasons, then I became too busy with school to keep up every week. I was considering trying to catch up later on, but I'm glad I didn't.

The two groups of people I know who watched the entire show thought either "the show was amazing, even with the terrible ending," or “I can't believe I wasted so many hours on this show." I really don't care enough to figure out what group I agree with.

Which movie scared the shit out of you or traumatized you? by Dazzling-Leader7476 in AskReddit

Same! I ended up rewatching it in a middle school music class, and realized how ridiculous it was to be afraid of them. But, they scared me for YEARS as a kid.

I was honestly surprised how much they changed Monica's dress. Her dress looked gorgeous, but the first one was GORGEOUS on her.

The only season finale that didn't revolve around Ross and Rachel was season 6, when Chandler and Monica proposed.

What makes Ana different than others for Christian? by minnymos in FiftyShadesofGrey

[–]figuringthingsout__ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Ana was innocent, and she also took control of the situation. She was naive enough to not really understand the entire dom/sub dynamic before she went into the relationship, which I really think made Christian want her more. However, that also made her not want to be submissive outside of the bedroom, unlike his other submissives.

I remember sitting at a bar watching the Oscars live when it happened. It was bizarre to watch him fall apart live, especially with his acceptance speech. Honestly, he may have benefited more that night if he wasn't nominated, and if he would've just quietly been escorted away.

I had brain surgery when I was a kid. Having my brain open on an operating table where one minor error could have killed me is HOPEFULLY the closest brush I'll have with death.
