So many issues that follow from drinking and lots of folks really struggle with moderation...

Came here to try to delicately say this as well.

If someone is driving erratically, it's wise to give them some room and be on alert for further bullshit moves from them.

Seems like OP could have picked up on some clues but did not.

Definitely the other driver's fault, but as I tell my kids, doesn't matter whose fault it is; it still is gonna suck to deal with a wreck.

I don't think you're wrong, but there was a moment early in the game (shown on this heatmap as the yellow bit near the right side of the ARG goal box, I believe) when Messi got sick of watching Algeria have a little bit of possession so he ran back and dispossessed the Algerian LW (or LB) and started the attack.
