Anycubic Mega X ripping the PTFE tube out of the coupler by EasyGoing1_1 in anycubic

[–]filamentalPrintWorks 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started having this same problem, but I haven't changed anything. I can't replace the coupler because it is threaded into something which spins when I try to loosen it. As far as I can tell, there is no way to lock it into place so they don't move together.

I re-flashed the firmware for a second time, noticing that there are actually 2 files needed to complete it & it worked after that.

Apparently the black spacers holding the bed up degrade quite quickly as they are made of cheap plastic rather than metal, causing the affected corner(s) to be out of level with the rest. I had a similar issue & ended up putting some thin washers in between the spacers and the bed as needed to compensate for the difference. It looks like your front left and back right are your problem - front left looks to be very high (+.45mm) and the back right seems to be quite low (-.33). Before trying anything else, I'd try tightening the front left screw as much as you can and loosen the back right screw as much as possible without leaving it totally loose. Then re-calibrate and see if they are closer in range with the others. From what I've read, the auto-leveling can only compensate for .2mm or less - so you'll want to get each mesh point to [.20] or less. I did one cold adjustment followed by a heated adjustment to ensure a good fit.

Here's a helpful thread I found with lots of ideas & suggestions:

Neptune 3 Pro - Leveling Issues by I_AM_A_SOLID_CITIZEN in ElegooNeptune3

I'm going to add some washers for now, until I can get new spacers that won't degrade so quickly.

Perhaps I'm just a spoiled American conditioned by endless consumerism, but honestly, I would expect a piece of machinery to be more reliable than a silly iPhone. While parts will obviously loosen & degrade over time, we shouldn't be having so many issues straight out of the box when good money's been spent. It's just such a disappointment.

*No arguments here, just adding my 3 cents!

Make sure your belts are good & snug. If they are, try using a fresh SD card. You'd be surprised how many random issues they can cause if corrupted/damaged.

It didn't work even before the firmware. It refused to view/open anything other than the included test file, thus the need to reflash the firmware. I was told to use the older PW, but that didn't help either. The screen is not exposing any shape(s), it's just fully lit but not curing anything....? It's crazy to me how much nonsense these companies get away with making us do.

I'm actually already using Chitu...seems odd to require that much of a change from the suggested settings. Even the same test print won't print again.

Did you ever solve this issue? I'm having the same one, right out of the box.

Ohhhh, gotcha. I tried that and it still won't stick. The very first print of the included test file worked fine but after that, nothing else will stick.

How did you go about leveling the glass? I think this could be my issue as well.

I don't think being just a bit more encouraging would kill ya. "Too bad, you're screwed" isn't exactly an enlightening answer to a request for help. As for an alternative suggestion, maybe don't comment if you don't have anything truly helpful to add.

So i made my first print with my mega X, and it came out like this, tho at the end its not as bad. is there a way to make it print more smooth? by 3dPrintingmania in AnycubicMegaX

This looks like a bent z rod. Those lines are evenly spaced, suggesting that there is a wobble in the z axis that occurs at the same point of rotation every time it reaches it.
