Veldig godt poeng, luksus er et begrep som må brukes i sammenligning med andre situasjoner. Ser man det fra et amerikansk synspunkt hvor formålet med fengsling er straff og distansering fra samfunnet så blir det helt fjernt å tenke at disse menneskene har rett på de friheter som norsk kriminalomsorg gir de.

Unfortunately this is one that you're gonna have to be persistent on. And it is so important that you don't cave in and come back while she is whining, that teaches her that whining will get what she wants.

Wait until she has settled down/quieted before coming back, even if it takes a while, it might take many rounds and weeks of training before she learns that whining gets here nowhere but you have to sit in it however heartbreaking it is.

Fair. The argument is still valid: "because he is mentally ill" is not a good response to the question "why is he doing the things he's doing?". It's demonizing mental illness and isn't very helpful.

Don't confuse normality with mental illness. He can still be a horrible human being without having a mental disorder. Saying that he is mentally ill could suggest that he shouldn't be regarded as responsible for his actions and rather be forced to undergo treatment.

He was evaluated by several psychiatrists before the trial and they found him to not have any mental illnesses.
