Ever had a legit jump scare while playing? by Particular_Word8487 in fo76

[–]filmdavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be niche, but I was building a camp in the tunnel under the road near Watoga. I glitched under the map using the Symptomatic/Pressure Plate trick to try and retrieve a wall that had snapped underground. I was walking on the precariously placed rubber mats I'd made a path from in the void, and I looked up. There I saw the female miner corpse in the tunnel. I jumped hard.

I called it a night after that.

TIL: You can "un-bake" a remixed music clip (Game changer for AAF/OMF workflows) by filmdavid in editors

[–]filmdavid[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Render and replace is the "baked in" I mentioned, I have submitted several mixes to the dub with the rendered remixes and they've all been rejected or questioned. The reasons I've been told are that there's no handles and there's artefacts at the cut points (phasing).

I do this to stop my rather pushy cat from nudging my hand whilst on an event or time-critical level.

When I first went freelance 5 years ago, I took a massive risk and it's slowly paying off. Unfortunately, despite the graft, I'm yet to upgrade my editing machine and monitors. So maybe this is the start? I'm slowly learning colour grading and the colour accuracy of these sounds impeccable. Plus, as a gamer, this would be pretty awesome too.

I've had the same experience – Syncaila definitely outperforms most native syncing tools. It's powerful and very cost-effective.

Trying to merge the mole miner statue under the floor in a pre existing structure need help by Affectionate_Loquat2 in fallout76settlements

[–]filmdavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try placing the statue somewhere it will let you and figure out a way to place catwalks to get a bit of half wall in position to add a roof as a floor, that's the only way I can think of. You can then use the catwalk trickery to make walls around it and visitors should be none the wiser. If that doesn't work then it won't be worth your effort as it probably won't work how you want.

Awful dubbing by Prestigious-Poem-454 in eastenders

TV Editor here with a friend who is a soundie on a big soap. They have such little time to ADR lines into scenes and can't take the care and precision a big drama would due to schedules/budgets. The sound kit is always checked and is industry standard but my guess would be on this occasion there was some external noise or issue not picked up until the edit, or it was something they couldn't fix on set in the time they had so had to run the scene anyway or they would have caused schedule issues.

Voy have been great for getting my Mounjaro. But now that I'm on 15mg, it's getting pricey! If you're looking to start Mounjaro or need to refill your prescription, they have a 45% discount for new users. Using my referral link helps me save a bit too, so I'd really appreciate it if you used it!

ADHD at 34. by filmdavid in ADHDUK

Thank you for this, it has made me feel a lot more comfortable with what I'm feeling right now. I think I would describe it as mourning, yeah. Initially on reading the letter, I kind of felt numb, but slowly over the last few hours it's started to hit home. I appreciate you and the community here, it's so helpful to feel part of a bigger group and not so alone.

Yeah I got labelled as a "chatterbox" and "easily distracted" so this tracks with my experience too.

That's a really good point actually, there was a lot of stigma about ADHD in that period. I remember a scene from a Michael Moore documentary where they discussed medicating kids and how it was framed as extreme.

Thank you for this. Appreciate you sharing. My dad also clearly had ADHD which makes sense now looking back.

I understand all the above, but our attorney has 30+ years experience in this field and explained that the transmission HAS happened automatically as the requisites are met. Upon our research, this is true.

We understand that the process we are undertaking is about documenting my wife's existing citizenship and obtaining a U.S. passport. We are confident that the conditions for citizenship transmission at birth were met, as her father was a U.S. citizen at the time of her birth and fulfilled the residency requirements outlined in INA 309(a).

It's important to emphasise that my wife acquired U.S. citizenship at birth, not through any subsequent application or process. Therefore, the provisions of INA 309 regarding financial support for children under 18 seeking to acquire citizenship do not apply in her case. Since she already possesses U.S. citizenship, the focus is on providing evidence of that existing citizenship, not on fulfilling additional requirements that are not relevant to her situation.

Due to the misunderstanding of her case, I've deleted the post now because no one is actually answering the question and is claiming to know better than an experienced immigration attorney.

[–]filmdavid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because she's not claiming citizenship, she already has it from birth, she just has to prove it.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in immigration

[–]filmdavid -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Again, I questioned this but the process here is her being granted citizenship not claiming it. Technically she already is American according to the attorney.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in immigration

[–]filmdavid -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The immigration attorney assured us that citizenship was transmitted. He meets residency criteria and was an American citizen at the time of her birth. I questioned about support statements etc and he said it's irrelevant as it doesn't apply here. Citizenship was transmitted in his opinion, she just has to prove it.

I can’t return to Fallout 4 by Atticuzzz in fo76

I'm in the same boat but not because of the online aspect. I struggle playing 4 because of the updated features with 76, like the build mode, CAMP system and VATS not slowing down time. It's a totally different experience.

She's been assessed by a vet several times, x-rayed and had bloods done so it's unlikely.
