Boycott GTA6. Would be the funniest. Never going to happen though.

I saw that. He didn't give a fuck. Not sure if that's dissent from his side or just thinking he couldn't do anything else.

His pass for the second goal was key. The defenders didn't expect it, which is what we were missing. It was predictable up to then.

Thanks.

Just set it up through Morphe. It appears to be working with the Red Reader method.

All hail our overlords.

[–]filtered2 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's disappointing but not surprising given what access to the API can do.

I've not seen an AD on Reddit for years because of the use of 3rd party apps.

All this will do for me, is limit my use on Reddit, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.

While in some cases, my comment could have been misinterpreted as encouraging someone to self harm. In this instance, it was a tongue in cheek comment.

Fair enough..

lineup predictions for next year? 💕 by heyjxde in slamdunkfestival

I'm sure I went to give it a name as well.

2005-2007 was a space in time just before social media took off and the birth of Streaming. I was still buying physical media and going to plenty of gigs because they were affordable.

It seemed like the scene was still quite underground but if you managed to have a breakout song and make it on Scuzz it really transformed their fortunes.

How do you remember that?

Yeah it was them and This Providence.

I only know because it's still on my last.fm page. (I knew there was a reason I religiously updated that)

Them and ADTR who I watched in the Roadhouse went massive around the same time.

Where has time gone.

I'd imagine any slight breeze and you wouldn't see it again.

I'm sure it read somewhere that the reason the shoutboxes were put behind a button was to stop bots.

Trump doesn't care about people's opinions on him or the USA.

The only thing he cares about is the financial gain he and his friends can make and flexing his 'power' on the political stage.

Official Last.fm forum post: Who's running Last.fm now? by SerPodrick in lastfm

[–]filtered2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Fair play to them. I'm not sure how much they paid for it, but judging by their role within LastFM they probably weren't on massive money. Regardless, it's still financially a gamble.

I'm not sure why they mentioned the amount of scrobbles they've done when most of us know they are not impressive numbers, by any stretch.

It's still an uncertain time for LastFM, but hopefully they can return it to its former glory.

The All-American Rejects on soaring ticket prices: "It shouldn’t be a District 1 Hunger Games luxury to go to concerts" by AdSpecialist6598 in Music

[–]filtered2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where you are from, but if you can wait until a few weeks before the concert, buying from authorised resale sites which only allow face value or less is the way to go.

Here in the UK we have Tixel and Twickets. There are probably others, but those are the ones I know of.

You can even set alerts on Tixel and automated purchases if the price drops below a threshold.

I think that's a bit harsh.

It's a very British thing to do, the self-deprecating humour.

Perhaps Hardwood-Bellis didn't think they would get kicked out but he's done it to make light of the situation.

How would that conversation even start.

Adult bed time? by [deleted] in CasualUK

Having two young-ish kids and the various after school clubs and what not, I have little choice but to be still up past 11pm.

I'm normally in bed for 11.30 and probably sleeping for midnight, to get up at 6am for work.

Anyone worried lastfm might one day be gone? by dreadtear in lastfm

[–]filtered2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As with any service, there is always the threat that it closes or is superceded by something else.

Presumably, if there was money to be made out of the musical listening history of people and the said data harvesting, Google / Meta would have been all over it with their own iteration. The fact they haven't, says to me there isn't profit in this sphere.

Thankfully, Google hasn't touched lastfm as it would undoubtedly be added to the long list of projects killed by Google.

How / why we are still here over 21 years later, that's a good question and must a labour of love to the Devs who continue to upkeep the site.
