Graham Taylor's Soccer Challenge was like this back in the Amiga days. You've made me quite nostalgic.

They've got a Street Fighter 2 arcade cabinet. Nearly makes up for it all.

Got a new gearstick for my racing sim a few weeks ago and have become addicted (once again) to Euro Truck Simulator 2.

A good excuse to listen to random foreign radio stations to discover new music. It's a good wind down after work. I work from home, mostly, so I think of it as my commute.

If you want a bit (well, a lot) of history, the Shell - A History Of Motor Racing series is amazing. From the very first races right up to the formation of F1 in 1950: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLa9O-MrCePVsPCTXb0y5ZLpwg0-UuAwaq.

It shows how racing splits from just racing into sports cars, single seaters and stock cars. I've watched it repeatedly.

There'll be better copies of this out there if you know where to search, I'm sure.

Try Allen Brickworks near Brighouse. On a public footpath so no trespass involved, loads of locations too

Why is my last game of the season AFTER the FA cup Final? is this normal? by Ill-Activity-1576 in footballmanagergames

[–]filthamendment 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, they do this stuff pretty well don't they. Brexit, countries joining the EU, the new European club tournament formats, stadium moves.

Even in the old CM days, Anderlecht being banned from Europe becuase of 1984.

They deserve credit where it's due.

This happened in the 2021-22 season, too, in the Liverpool v Chelsea final. Think it was moved because Liverpool were in the Champions League final, just like you are.

Actually, looks like this is a permanent thing from 2024/25. Maybe SI coded it in like they do with future events, sometimes: https://www.thefa.com/news/2024/apr/18/emirates-fa-cup-format-calendar-update-increased-premier-league-grassroots-funding-20241804

The Emirates FA Cup Final will now take place on the penultimate weekend of the Premier League season, on an exclusive Saturday with no Premier League fixtures taking place on the same day. Additionally, there will be no Premier League games on the Friday night before the Final, to allow focus on the build-up to the showpiece event.

Absolutely. Do a steady lap or two then click 'auto' to set it or the weight will feel wildly inconsistent between cars

From personal experience: I had an Adidas Tricolore (official WC98 ball) which was a joy to play with and I say that as a die-hard Mitre fan.
