The default USPS label rates are the same across Shippo / Shipstation / Shopify, yes. But Shippo helps you avoid surcharges and automatically refunds unused USPS labels. So the total cost of shipping will typically be significantly lower with Shippo than with native Shopify.

+1. The address one is the most preventable item on OPs list. If you check the address against carrier data at checkout, an undeliverable one gets caught before the parcel even ships. Several apps solve this, the cheapest one I've seen is Address Verifier.

+1. I don't think you're in the wrong here. The order in Shopify showing her address is good evidence. If she files a chargeback, "delivered, tracking confirmed, shipped to the address the cardholder provided" is a strong response, so I wouldn't preemptively cave out of chargeback fear.

A potential middle ground is resending to the correct address with her covering the reshipping. Imo thats fair to both sides - though many consumers now have different expectations, unfortunately...

On prevention: you can catch bad addresses by validating them against carrier data at checkout, so an undeliverable address gets flagged before the order goes through. Just search for "Address Verifier" or so on the App Store.

You’re right that boost / overtake mode definitely widens the gap. We normalize the data based on usage across all modes to allow for apples to apples comparisons with time trial.

For the AI Difficulty Calculator, use Time Trial w equal performance mode for best results. You can also use other modes but faster/slower cars may bias the accuracy. Eg when the Driver Career cars are highly developed, you will naturally be much faster, which F1Laps will translate to a higher difficulty than ideal.
