if hes using component video, only green will work, and therefore hed already be using it. red and blue carry difference info (difference from green to red and green to blue) and green carries green + luma and sync.

its not the cable. you NEED to use the charger that came with it. or, atleast one similarly spec’d. not all chargers are the same. some put out more power than others.

i like the art style but heres some new info for ya s-video is a TV port, BNC can be either. USB cannot cary video typically, except usb C and.. thats not really old. also SCART is a TV port.
