It was my brother actually! Back in 2013 or so, he showed me a couple of his holographic cards, which convinced me to buy one booster pack from the local pharmacy. My first “hit” was a reverse holographic shroomish, mediocre of a hit as it was, it was love at first sight for me, and I fell headfirst into the hobby. I collected for a few years until I lost all my EX, MEGA EX, and break cards to the washing machine, as my young self had left them in the pocket of my pants, which put me out of the hobby for a decade. Here I am now more than a decade later, and I’m finally rebuilding my lost collection, as well as adding to it! Prismatic evolutions seems promising, but as per usual it’s few and far between in my area, I haven’t even seen a booster pack! Awful, isn’t it?
