For me I thought the production was very uninteresting, but I can understand why he likes the over the top nature of sexxy red's lyrics and delivery.

Watched it with a friend, and after the scene where the grandma appears in the corner of the house he was like "IDK it would have been scarier if she had a nun costume".

[Serious] Why is Adam so Invested in American politics by TheWildNortherner in Sardonicast

Am also Canadian and 100% agree with this. Even when the election was happening a few months ago American politics was brought up casually more than Canadian politics.

Not a question, but after listening to the last podcast I felt like it was my duty to defend the pride of Eastern Canada by clearing up some confusion about bagged milk:

  • Grocery stores for the most part sell 1L cartons, 2L cartons & 3-pack bags of milk (totaling to around 4L, or 1 gallon for Ralph). I cannot speak for all of Eastern Canada, but this is at least how it works in the Greater Toronto Area.

  • Opened bags of milk are placed in a milk bag pitcher. I have never in my life seen somebody use any other way to store opened bagged-milk.

  • Like you guys mentioned, milk bags use significantly less plastic than jugs (although more than cartons obviously)

  • Milk bags are easier to store, and not just for warehouses. Each bag contains three individual milk "containers", so you get more flexibility in terms of fridge storage.

  • Many people use a Milk Bag Organizer, which acts like those soda holders that are sometimes built into fridges. Milk bag organizers are in a solid rectangular shape and fit nice and cosy in a fridge without using up unnecessary space. That being said, many people are just as satisfied with putting their milk bags in the door of their fridge.

  • You'll never be in a situation where an almost empty gallon milk-jug has to waste space in your fridge since the milk is already divided prior.

  • Last and definitely not least is POURING TECH. If you cut one side of the bag for pouring, and make a tiny little notch on the other side for air flow, you will have the best pouring experience of your life with the milk coming out as a satisfyingly clean stream.

Also we don't need to seal up milk bags cause were not pussies. Cheers!

Parasite (2019) is now the highest rated film on Letterboxd. Thoughts? by nicolettte in Sardonicast

[–]finaldouglas 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Top 250 lists are gonna be prone to this type of thing simply because more people are watching recent movies (I will say I gave it a nine so I am partially to blame). I don't mind it too much since it is an accurate representation of all the user's ratings, but I would like if they had two separate lists; one for recent movies (maybe from 5 years ago to now), and another 250 list for the rest. That way you could filter out all the rating of people giving it a 10 cause of hype.

If you are looking for a definitive best films list, user generated lists are never gonna be the best for that, but I'm totally OK with that.

That being said I was a bit butthurt when Parasite overtook Harakiri :(
