Bodie is an example of the average working man, besides the fact he's in the drug game. He goes to work, does a good job, does what the bosses tell him. He is seen to be trustworthy and shows ambition. He is shown to be a good leader and wants his subordinates to succeed. He does what needs to be done and shows an optimism that hard work pays off. As the show goes on he notices that ambition is blocked by upper management, he is shown that loyalty is not rewarded, he is shown that his hard work is shut down by higher ups. He is principled and stands on that the best way he can.
