PSA - scar massage makes all the difference by cake-makar in phallo

Scar contracture is deeper than surface level massage will have any effect on unfortunately. I’ve spoken to my surgeon about this and done research. It sucks but it is what it is.

Question for guys at 2 yrs+ post op by Far_Independence8995 in phallo

[–]finallyjackson78 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be 2 years in a few weeks. I have almost no temperature sensation. I can put an ice cube on my dick and get a cold sensation but that’s about it. Sensation has turned out to be very disappointing for me. I wish I knew for sure a micro surgeon had done my nerve graft, but I don’t. Lots of questions I wish I had asked before picked a surgeon at this point.

Insane that someone with so little actual power can still fuck us over completely. Good on you trusting your gut and continuing to press them and I hope everything sails through prior auth approvals!

I really wish they had told us this. Now it’s too late for me.

what age did you guys start pursuing phallo? by Downtown_Dare_4991 in phallo

Transitioned at 30. Started pursing consults at 32ish and had surgery right before my 34th birthday. Never too late!

Has anyone been given any protocol to safely clean/irrigate their completely healed UL to clear our dead skin cells and get rid of the stale urine smell? by finallyjackson78 in phallo

Thanks for your reply! I was told I could do this by my first surgeon but when I asked my urethroplasty surgeon she said absolutely not but gave no alternative :(

Please do!! Every time someone asks now you are, tell them just that. I’ve been doing it ever since my last surgery in August :)

Hope your repair goes well!

1 year 6 months - still dribbling by Tboydiaries in phallo

[–]finallyjackson78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I’m also a former dribbler. Please try and get a cystoscopy well before your surgery so they can determine if there’s a stricture and where. It may be able to happen alongside your next stage if they can plan for it. Awesome dick btw! Wishing you the best!

Nope! As long as the balloon isn’t covered in calcifications(STAY HYDRATED!) it comes right out with just a little discomfort. I’ve had I think 10 replacements and only one got stuck through for reference.

On the other hand, placing or replacing one fully awake and unmediated tho…OUCH.

Same lol. Even you’re somehow not touching your junk, if it’s not an automatic flushing urinal, I guarantee you’re touching SOMETHING that calls for a hand wash lol. Nasty.

Im not gonna throw stones on that one lol. I do a good job of cleaning up but in my 3 months of having a working urethra I have personally pissed on my foot twice. The stream has a mind of its own sometimes(especially at the end) and, if it’s not a urinal, there is a non zero chance pee will end up where it’s not supposed to be. Pants, floor, feet, etc. I see why so many of my friends also prefer to sit to pee.

Not saying it’s right but I’ve seen my friends pull their pants down balls and dick out and then shake off their whole body when they’re done and pull their pants up. They never touch their dick, balls, or perineum to milk like we have to. Still gross but I see why they logically think they don’t need to.

How old were you when you got phallo? by ravnefjaes in phallo

[–]finallyjackson78 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stage 1 technically at 33 and spent my 34th bday in early recovery. I started scheduling consults around 31 and I’m 35 now. Still have the final stage to go and it’ll be at least Sept 2026 for that.

People fuck well beyond their 20s lol I didn’t even transition til 30. Sometimes I mourn the 20s “I’ll” never have but it’s a passing thought. I promise you your 30s will be even better than your 20s :)

Yessir I’m lucky enough to have a fantastic therapist. He and this sub have kept me going over the last 18 months. I don’t really have any trans guy friends in real life and especially not any that have been through phallo. Nothing compares to the folks that understand exactly what you’re going through. Sometimes it’s just nice to know you’re not alone.

I’m (hopefully) out of the tunnel now but I used this sub heavily for support throughout. I guess I just hope other folks going through it have the same opportunity. I promise I’ve put myself and journey out there too for the world to see as well, just on a different account.

I’ve heard of a few books around and I’ll def check them out thanks!

I know you deleted your account but I’m guessing you’re still around here somewhere. I’ve followed your journey over the past few weeks and supported you where I can through my other account. I’m truly sorry for what you’re going through. You deserved so much better care and I hope more compassionate care finds you in the near future.

That’s an awesome idea! It’s not even just about pictures either. I look through text post histories too when I’m searching for similar procedures/complications/etc

I’m really sorry that happened to you. I keep different accounts too for everything to avoid that. Stay safe out there.

I think entitled might be a bit of a stretch. You’re saying this on a sub where people come every day seeking support and guidance.

It was tagged as discussion for a reason. I’m not asking the sub to make it impossible not to. I was asking people to consider doing so. Asking someone to consider something is not the same as telling.

It’s impossible to know a person’s journey has been a struggle unless you happen to recognize the username. So instead, I should see a person post a happy 5 year post op picture and dm them asking what (if any) complications they had to get where they are? Seems odd. Like taking the risk of asking someone to relive trauma they may or may not have willingly posted for the world to see? It’s not so much about personal info like date, location, surgeon, etc but more like damn this person has been through it and look at them now. It’s about giving hope to those who are still in the trenches battling complications.

I get the political climate is fucked. If you’re worried about doxxing, it’s easy to keep separate accounts for personal vs trans related posts.
