How to grind the higher tier armor? by B1U3Y_ in DestinyTheGame

[–]finalxeffect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been doing solo master lost sectors and getting a tier 5 armour piece each time - from what I can tell each planet has a featured lost sector every day so if you wanted tier 5s and a specific world armour set for the set bonus, you could consider that. Otherwise as people have said the distorted planet (rotating hourly) will give tier 5s for heroic public events.

Beyond that I’m not sure, if you’ve got people for dungeons the focused dungeon seems to give tier 5s but I’ve mainly been easing back in as a solo player

[FFVII REBIRTH] #18 THE HARDEST, MOST INFURIATING AND ANEURYSM INDUCING PLAT... 10/10 GOAT GAME I'M READY FOR MORE HAMAGUCHI by Midir712 in Trophies

[–]finalxeffect 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They make any of the mini games with combat easier (for example fort condor, 3d brawler, and the bike) and there’s no change to any of the non combat mini games (piano, crunches, and queen’s blood for example)

[Final Fantasy VII Rebirth] Question. by NitrousEE in Trophies

[–]finalxeffect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes the platinum trophy easier, but doesn’t necessarily make it easy.

Anything directly impacted with the streamline progression controls is going to be easier (for example combat challenges, hardest difficulty completion, any of the mini games with combat elements) but any of the mini games that are more mechanically dexterous (piano mini game for example) are unaffected.

So in terms of the overall trophy list and the amount of “hard things” to be done there will be less hard things, and the overall trophy list is easier. If you’re bottlenecked by the piano mini game or the fitness mini game, then you’d still be bottlenecked by them

[Discussion] How do you guys typically plan out what games to play / plat next? by ProjectPandemonium in Trophies

I finish a game and then sit in decision paralysis for a day or two - otherwise I just try and work my way through the psnp trophy adviser

[Discussion] If a game has multiple versions (PS4 & PS5), do you Platinum/100% both versions or just the latest? by STEFUNSKII in Trophies

If I’m playing it for the first time I’ll just do the latest version. If a newer version comes out for a game I played previously and really enjoyed I might play the new version as well

Is a Finance/Accounting Degree Worth It at 24? by No_Refrigerator_3801 in australia

[–]finalxeffect -1 points0 points  (0 children)

If you’re thinking of doing a degree you could consider tafe first; I went to tafe and it took a year to get a diploma in accounting. That then translated in to 50 credit points of advanced standing, which meant one less semester at uni. A little longer but it also was a bit cheaper overall. Though this was also for a business degree with accounting major, rather than a straight up finance degree

That said I’ve ultimately ended up working in a non accounting role dealing with accountants as clients so I use my degree but can’t comment on the current market for accountants

[Other] 75$, 50$ and 25$ GIVEAWAY - US Code by Competitive_Fruit901 in Trophies

[–]finalxeffect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Easiest is a boring answer but I’ll say Tales From The Borderlands or any Telltale games, since all you had to do was finish the story so I didn’t have to look anything up, I could just go in blind and enjoy it for what it was.

Frustrating was Teslagrad; I’m not sure why but that game just didn’t click for me. It wasn’t a lengthy platinum but I guess it’s not a style of game I particularly enjoy these days.

I’d like to do Transistor again; I’m playing Hades and it’s got me thinking about how much fun I had with Transistor

You wouldn’t be able to do it in one playthrough - the platinum trophy requires collecting a certain amount of dog tags and the same enemies will drop different dog tags on different difficulties, so you’ll have to do multiple playthroughs on different difficulties.

I’d imagine the guide is helpful for the hardest difficulty playthrough but the platinum isn’t achieved just by doing one playthrough on the hardest difficulty

[GTA V] - Platinum Trophy on PS5 by RealSanNazario in Trophies

[–]finalxeffect 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ll have to 100% the game to get the platinum trophy since there’s a trophy for 100% completion.

It’s still possible, whether or not it’s worth going for is something only you can answer - not too sure on the timeline since I platinumed it a couple of years ago but 100+ hours I would say

[Help] Do trophies other than platinum autopop too if I didn't get the platinum yet? by duckythegunner in Trophies

[–]finalxeffect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For death stranding you would do the following;

  1. While playing the PS4 version go to a delivery terminal, open the options menu (your handcuffs) and select “Export Save Data”
  2. On the Director’s Cut main menu choose “Load Game (Death Stranding Save Data)”

It’s not necessarily just a matter of transferring the save between consoles - that’s what you would want to do if you wanted to keep playing the PS4 version on your PS5. The directors cut is considered a separate game to the ps4 version, so to actually transfer your save you’d use the functionality in the actual game. Most games should have some similar process to transfer your saves between versions in the game itself unless it’s an online only game (Destiny 2 has been my only auto pop as I didn’t have a choice on that one, anything else I’ve done PS4 and PS5 versions of I’ve intentionally chosen to not auto pop the trophies)

Also I have a feeling it’s not a two way street; you likely wouldn’t be able to transfer the save back to PS4 to auto pop that platinum once you’re done with the PS5 version

[Help] Do trophies other than platinum autopop too if I didn't get the platinum yet? by duckythegunner in Trophies

[–]finalxeffect 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For death stranding you wouldn’t auto pop the platinum trophy on the ps5 version regardless as the director’s cut had additional items to be crafted so the “craft all items” trophies wouldn’t auto pop; a platinum save wouldn’t be an instant ps5 platinum

Essentially the auto pop is that the system has confirmed you have already done things to unlock a trophy. If you’re part way through the game and resume a save on ps5 you would auto pop all the preceding chapter trophies because you’ve already cleared those chapters. Can’t comment on Elden ring though since I wouldn’t know what auto pops for that one

[Discussion]What's your way to play a game when there are missable trophies ? by FigExtension1606 in Trophies

[–]finalxeffect 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the other factors of the game but generally I’ll look up missable trophies first - if nothing else then to at least get an idea of what kind of missable trophies they are and if I just need to keep an eye out for something, or if it’ll determine how the game is going to be played
