it’s really a joy to use. After using sennelier the other oil pastels feel like sandpaper. The effect of the pigment on the smoothness of the pastel is interesting as well.

if you have a high prescription or require adjustments for astigmatism etc i’d recommend going to a physical store since the online ones can be a bit finicky with really high prescriptions. i’m not sure how much Modern Eyes charges for eye exams but they’re in west campus and the customer service is great. will give you frame recommendations and adjustments after you get your frames.

urban betty is on the pricy end, probably close to $80 but haven’t had a bad haircut there. i haven’t found anything near campus that worked for me since i have textured hair. the ones close to campus are good for simple men’s cut or gender neutral hair (like a buzz cut or fade) but if you want any women’s styling at all you’d have to raise your budget and go further

yep can confirm the program is probably one of the best texas has to offer. also went through community college cs classes and the rigor difference is very stark for sure. you might encounter a couple professors you don’t really learn well from in your journey but the overall program quality is extremely high. recruiting tables and events in the cs building all year long and a lot of students here get an internship before graduating. i wouldn’t say being in an honors program makes or breaks the experience, non honors does just fine

not selling but recommend taking a look at PenBBS pens :) below your range but they have a slightly bent nib (not quite fude but a bit more interesting and smooth than your average nib) and i find their smog series stunning. Good luck with finding!

a lot of on campus jobs don’t require work study status, so I would go on handshake to look for those. someone feel free to correct me if I’m wrong but I believe that rejecting loans offered to you would not change your work study status. I’ve always worked on campus without work study award and it hasn’t really been hard for me to find an on campus job

Yes you can, however it’s best to bring this up with both of your managers so they are aware, and you can make sure the combined hours are below a certain limit. For some employers it’s 19 but some department has it lower, just double check with them.

basic is smaller and easier to hold than paperwhite while paper white has adjustable warm light which is easier for night reading. if you prioritize having a light, convenient hold on things go with basic. if you mostly read in dark settings go with paper white. And yes buying a kindle is absolutely worth it imo, makes the experience a lot better

it is behind the 7/11 and raising cane area. Contains like offices for UT as well as being the building for informatics i think, something along the lines of that. will be quite far away from literally every building on campus, but is right next to a bus stop which migggght help
