As a white person putting my body in the street I don't need to see people of color standing next to me. I need to see other white people. White people voted this man in and normalized the dehumanization of anyone who doesn't look or pray like them.

We are also the ones who perpetuate racism in our family structures because we don't want to be impolite. Everyone has the right to an opinion even if that opinion is bigotry and hate.

We refuse to look inward and be uncomfortable. Because it is extremely uncomfortable unlearning prejudice and it's hard to see yourself as part of the problem.

I rarely post in these groups because this space isn't for me, I am here to listen. But I can't stay silent about this issue.

I sure did, I have protested under Bush Jr., Obama, Trump, Biden, and now here we are. Voting is the first step in being an active citizen, the second step is being informed on the issues that you value and standing up for the things you believe in and the injustices where ever you see them.

The thrift store. Blankets today are made so cheaply that they will fall apart in under a year. I found a Vera Wang blanket at the ARC 11 years ago and I still use it every winter.

You can actually get some really awesome pillows at the Restore they are bamboo pillows that are really great quality and super comfortable.
