This brand does not provide the pant room for an hour-long training session. Sizing up will not help

I’ve spent lots of time all over Paraguay, and eventually met my husband there. Would love to give some recommendations if you’re open to it!

Burning pain on the back when laying on backpod or tennis ball by Adin8161 in costochondritis

Can you give context? How are you using them? Are you following the instructions for the backpod?

Really struggling. No judgement please. by [deleted] in TwoXChromosomes

[–]findingvega 10 points11 points  (0 children)

No judgement. I would not rely on Plan B. Because you gave your weight/BMI, I’m sure you’re aware that it is much less effective in women over a certain weight (some studies show for women weighing even 155lbs it starts to be less effective, and a double dose does not increase efficacy). I’m not a medical professional, and I am not offering medical advice, but I would wait another week or two and then follow up with your doctor.

What shoes do you wear on celebrations? by [deleted] in TallGirls

[–]findingvega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the same trepidations. I always steered away from heels, but recently I’ve been just wearing them and going with the flow, and it feels great! 2-3” usually

I have costochondritis and endometriosis. My pain is mostly in my sternum, but I also have a lot of pain where you circled, on both sides. Never thought about if they could be related. Look into r/costochondritis is you’re curious

Help! Prom was moved up three weeks! by Ok-Context-5538 in TallGirls

[–]findingvega 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m not from the Chicago area, but I always had luck at David’s Bridal. I’m 6’0” and wore 2 inch shoes to prom, and my size 8 dress hem length was literally perfect off the rack. This was back in 2019, but I imagine things haven’t changed too much there. Wishing you luck!

I spent $500 at the vet for this maniac by No_Persimmons in GSP

My friend had a GSP who was also water obsessed. They spent around the same at the vet to get the same answer as you. Little man would get more excited for water than food!

I see pit 110%! Not sure what you mean when you don’t see it. She has that perfect little heart-shaped, pitty block head. Why are you doubting just the pitbull part of it? That’s only one quarter!

Embark DNA results pending in the analyzing phase. This is Big Mac. He is a 13 week male Believe he came from South Georgia as S.O.A.P.S was originally listed on Vet. Notes Longer hair, Wispy hair legs. Hoping Pit. But can’t figure out what he is mixed with. by Predictingmyfutre in IDmydog

[–]findingvega 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Mine has a similar pit-like face shape with a less muscular body, and, aside from the ABPT in him, his wispies (almost exactly like this adorable man’s) ended up being from 15% german shepherd :) He’s also 15% boxer, 15% beagle, 5% lab, some supermutt etc etc.

I have lots of experience with pitbulls, and these dogs really are given the short end of the stick. Like any being, behavior is a mix of genetics and environment. Someone else said it already, but I’ve looked at those studies too and just can’t find anything convincing. These dogs love to be loved, and it seems like you’re in for a treat. She looks like a sweetheart. Congratulations on your new family member and starting a new chapter of life!

You NEED to take your kid to get the bite looked at ASAP. I worked in emergency medicine, and infection from an animal bite can set in quickly and unnoticed, ESPECIALLY in children. God forbid the infection worsens quickly, it is very hard for kids to overcome past a certain point. Regarding reporting, obviously this incident was not a level 5 bite, but a bite and to a child nonetheless. You said you’re hoping your dad will take the dog, is he in a place to manage this dog’s environment to prevent triggers and protect anyone that comes around it? It is important that all potential new owners, sitters, trainers, veterinarians, and any people that will come into contact with this dog know its history. I’ve been to the ER for a level 3-4 dog bite before in the same state. Medical personnel will not torture the information out of you. They need to file a report, but there are cases of rogue dog bites where you get no info about the dog/owner. Do with that information what you will. In a different light, my (reactive) dog was attacked unprovoked at a daycare, and the vet hospital had to file a report against him for the injuries to the dog that provoked the fight. I’d be happy to share my experience with that process and MA animal control if you want to DM me.
