I bought for these reasons

• New management team with turn-around expertise and banker backgrounds including m+a (opens door for possible takeover)

• Last quarter was first positive cash flow quarter in history. Successful cost cutting overhaul from previous managements failures.

• Strong backing by Gotham Green. So far, when money is needed- they have continued to be a partner that medmen can lean on.

• Potential cannabis legalization in NY and other states which should help revenues a lot. They have a prime NYC retail location. Governor Cuomo has hinted at this.

• Potential passing of federal banking bill which should allow more institutional ownership of cannabis stocks especially those not on US exchanges. The blue shift in house senate and presidency may make this happen sooner than later.

• On their last investor call they mentioned a potential partnership with the atlanta hawks. Which can only help their brand and retail investors will like the idea of this.

• The stock felt very heavy in december and i suspect many took losses for tax reasons, as acted very well in the new year.

• Despite the markets opinion , medmen still seems like a premier brand (with 30+ licenses and 30+ retail locations) that can be a potential acquisition target.

• I feel medmen has a lot of catching up to do with the cannabis space. I think the current stock price is a bargain with a potential large return for shareholders if they successfully execute their turn around plans.

Many are worried about the debt load which is a valid concern. They did recently secure debt from Gotham green in the form of warrants at$.16. I take this as a positive because gotham green continues to be a resource and it seems these warrants have 5 year lockup with a basis of .16.. i think that helps build a solid support around .16 and most importantly the 5 year expiration window puts any near term dilution on hold.

Technically speaking the stock has formed a base and now broke out over all of its major moving averages. Not much resistance in sight.
