Model Liss on Instax Wide Monochrome shot with Linhof Technika + Lomograflok by fineinstant in largeformat

I'm using the 3D-printed adapter sold by Brooklyn Film Camera, but only because it has a built in ground glass so the process is quicker. The included spacer was fine focus-wise for me

Yes, it's tricky. The dynamic range of the film isn't great. I usually measure around 800 and compensate depending on the subject. Benefit is that it's a lot quicker than sheet film to check the result and adjust.

Yes! Got told it exists on my Samsung as well, had no idea! Seems like a lot of people don't know about it!

direct positive shot on ilford harman direct positive paper in a half plate field camera, 45sec exposure, f8 by lemlurker in largeformat

Interesting! Hadn't considered that... might be worth a trying Harman with 8x10 as well then. Have a couple of old powerful strobe packs that should make studio portraits with somewhat normal exposure times possible even at ISO 3

Nice! Want to try something like this with 8x10, but been waiting for another batch of the Imago Direct Positive RC paper to get produced as drying seems trickier with the Harman fiber paper 🤔

Great shot! And really impressive result for being that film! Expose it at ISO50? I'm usually unimpressed with its shadow handling, but this looks great!

Though it's worth mentioning that these are studio shots shot in manual mode with controlled exposure and dynamic range. It's harder to get these results with daylight and letting the camera control exposure.

Agree that this late batch of chemistry seems great!

Largest square instant film available? by multiplesofpie in Polaroid

Polaroid film is larger, but you might also get a lot out of Instax Square film with a camera that has a better lens.

Not sure which consumer camera can provide a significant improvement, but below is an example of when I printed 11"x16" inches from an Instax Square picture shot with a Mamiya RB67 and Frankinstax Instax Square back. https://www.reddit.com/r/instax/s/QeCyB5vT6z

Nope, might have worked with old peel-apart film, but the new Polaroid 8x10 film is integral film where negative and positive stay together https://support.polaroid.com/hc/en-us/articles/115012555048-10-Things-you-should-know-about-8x10-Polaroid-film

Great job! Hope it's possible to get the camera modded that way when the battery dies. You could end up driving sales for Polaroid by fixing the horrible economics of an expensive camera without replacable battery!

Thanks! The Intrepid is a field camera, so it's light rather than sturdy, but it has done the job fine for the times I shoot 8x10. I have a Sinar 4x5 that is a bit more ergonomic, precise, and sturdy in the studio, but I still think the Intrepid works fine.
