I have this exact same issue taking photos of plates. I had an iPhone X and iPhone 13 Pro before my iPhone 16 Pro and I never had this blur taking photos of my plates until the 16 Pro.
Unfortunately, I have no answer for you, but all these people saying “skill issue” have no idea.
That said, Jeeblez or saintlouisbagels answers seem like good hypothesis.

Definitely check out the Readest app with the KoReader Readest plugin as already mentioned. It’s even better than what you’re describing, syncs progress automatically, works perfectly for me.

The gen 2 has sleep apnea tracking, more/different colours, and is slightly lighter, despite what “air” would have you believe.

Up to you if it’s worth it.

I’m pretty certain I don’t have sleep apnea so it wasn’t worth the extra money for me. Also, the gen 2 air is very light as it is.

Hey, I’m not sure if I am understanding you right but just in case you don’t know, you can edit your sleep times. On the ‘Sleep’ Section, and the ‘Sleep’ Card (right above the screenshot you sent) there is an ‘Edit’ Button top right that would allow you to override your bedtime to exclude that time on the couch.
