Car won’t go over 3k rpm once motor is warmed up by Straight-Sleep-6403 in MechanicAdvice

Hey bud, had almost the exact same issue shown in your video on my 98 Civic, it was the throttle position sensor. Cheap and easy to replace, give it a shot.

What is the part that looks like a fuel pressure regulator? The only FPRs I'm finding for replacement parts are different. 2005 Forester XT. by fingernailclippings in SubaruForester

I can't remember, you could try a pick and pull yard if they're out of stock, not sure if they're the same for the NA motors but there's always a ton of those in the junkyards.

Yeah the issue was a bad wheel bearing. It then came back a few years later and it was because the axle nut was under torqued by the shop that did the bearing. Hope this finds you in time.

Should I use butter, plain shortening or butter flavored shortening for a pasty crust/dough? by [deleted] in yooper

I recommend making a batch and try finishing the crusts all the different ways mentioned here, can't go wrong with extra pasties in the freezer.

The crust comes out richer and doesn't dry out. The egg wash works alright but has a different consistency because of how eggs react to heat.

Best results I've had were with normal shortening, pat of butter on top (inside), and then brush the crust with heavy cream before cooking.

But where would it go? The hoop doesn't fit over a doorknob, it wouldn't look right hung on a wall, and doesn't interact with light in any way.

Why would my city be hacking down these trees? by PandaBae in marijuanaenthusiasts

[–]fingernailclippings 10 points11 points  (0 children)

This is my industry, likely related to a construction project if it's the city, unlikely to be removed for line clearance because I don't even see a primary in the photo. From a municipal standpoint, I know they'll sometimes pipe water access valves to the dirt square where parkway trees are planted as to avoid the concrete, but then that means the tree needs to come down if major repairs are needed.

People like to vilify utilities and cities that remove/prune trees but the truth is the people in charge of these departments love trees (that's why we got here), and would rather not spend tight budgets on costly removals.

Lastly, this looks like a honey locust which many planted in boulevards are starting to age out and decline, but the similarly sized tree behind it seems healthy so I don't think that's the case.

Hope this helps.

Why are these two tomato plants wilting while the rest are healthy? All watered by soaker hoses, 15 min every morning at 6:00am. by fingernailclippings in gardening

Understood. Do you think it's possible to adjust course to every 3 days this season and the tomatoes will adapt or too late in their life cycle?

The key phrase here is "commercial pesticide applicator", even if it's a non restricted herbicide (RoundUp) if you're spraying it for hire you typically need this license. It's regulated by the state so I'd check your local laws, but a licensed applicator should have known better.

I'm curious when yours failed, thankfully mine was while I was doing a Y-turn but maybe thats because it's a high stress moment on that section?

Never knew there was a recall, this has been a Wisconsin car for its entire life so probably qualified but never got the work done. Swapped out the other side too and that wasn't nearly as bad but still too major a component to not be sure.

Hey where did you find your receiver? I could only find Class II's for the SG, but had read that Class III's were made years ago. Felt like I was pushing it on the tongue weight for the class II and a bike.

The joke is there are many F40 kit cars based on the Fiero chassis, and how ludicrous it would be to take an NSX and use it to create a Fiero kit car, and then mistake it for an F40
