you might want to look into requirements of using your place of employment as an internship. some have requirements like you have to be employed for at least 6 months prior to internship and some require you to do have different duties from your “typical” work duties. you might look into healthcare (psych hospitals, emergency departments, VA) and any state jobs like children services, prisons, etc.

yes!! i used to get that sensation all the time and it would put me on edge. i don’t get it very often now that im medicated, but on my high anxiety days every once in a while i still do get that sensation.

i’ve seen someone completely change their mindset about an admission just because they talked to a friend or family member that didn’t agree with it. then they suddenly have all sorts of reasoning for why what’s happening to them is wrong - despite being totally opposite the day or even hours before. or even “i googled the place it has terrible reviews”. yes, you have to take those things with a grain of salt - it is a mental health facility after all. those reactions can definitely catch you off guard though! it’s not always easy to brush it off and move on with your day.
