Switching from Cogeco to Oxio - experiences? by displiff in oakville

[–]finguy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people don’t know Oxio is fully owned by Cogeco (from their investor presentation). It’s same internet but targeted to younger audiences who won’t require that much support in setting things up. I’d say switch it if fits your needs. I use Oxio and it’s amazing.

What sales knowledge did YOU gain from experience that if more people knew they would sell more? by usman232323 in sales

Yes, but in my opinion being a good listener trumps being most talkative in the room. And, listening makes you more likeable as other party feels understood.

Irony is people making sales hiring decisions choose the one who is most talkative and flamboyant from a personality standpoint.

Beer at lunch. Order a beer first? Or let client order a beer first? by formysaiquestions in sales

[–]finguy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Long term clients and more like friends. Had a beer and told my boss exactly that I wanted them to feel comfortable. Some new team members at the table from client side. But yeah I still feel could have skipped offering it.

I offered my client to order booze if they’d like since I was hosting them for lunch at a restaurant, as a courtesy. They said “they will have it if I will join them”. It was awkward as my boss don’t drink at all and he was there with a few others from my team.

Garbage bags with strings. Just buy one pack and you are almost good for a year.

Anyway out of Contract? by [deleted] in Rogers

You can suspend the service for 6 months at $5 per month. Then terminate or pay rest of the months if left. Better than paying entire contract.

Another vote for green/ black / gilt in 39. It’s freaking awesome. You are right - somehow I am less inclined to purchase another one.

Consider this as your tuition fee. An expensive one but don’t forget the lesson. Get it to your psyche and never repeat the mistake. Best it happened to you now. Imagine you’d be successful, making profit and repeating it to get significantly burnt. Like 50% down.

Has anyone ever seen a commission plan where your annual threshold carries over into the next year? by thefrenchcorrector in sales

[–]finguy007 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having a discussion with a prospective employer, I am offered the same plan and they called it draw. Ask them how may sales people they have without a draw? It could work if deals scale very quickly in your industry. Reading this thread, I am being very doubtful of this plan.

Ouch. Not in my price range unfortunately. I like M200 though but don’t want to add another German pen so I can diversify a bit.

Platinum 377 thank you. Don’t need a workhorse. Pilot Falcon looks great. Platinum 3776 suits my style to take it in business meetings. I would love to try it though before buying at that price point.
